Prtypsux Owning The Bubble In Lapc $2500

From Pocket 5's:LinkSICK Bubble Play by PrtyPsux in LAPC $2500by Mkind16 on 2/13/2007 05:58 "Wow, so I'm railing the $2500 NL at Commerce tonight when I saw one of the sickest plays I've ever seen by PrtyPsux. With blind 500/1000/100, this talkative Asian dude in LP makes it 3500. The guy has around 100k to start the hand and is playing very aggro. He seems like a total nut, who will not shutup. JC is in the BB w/ 115k to start the hand, calls. On a flop of Qh-Td-6h, JC check/calls a 6k bet. The turn is the Th, pairing the board and putting the flush card out. JC checks and the guy instantly bets 18k. JC then moves AI for around 75k. The Asian guy thinks for about 10 minutes. Keep in mind, these 2 were 2 of the top 5 stacks in the room and the next one out does not get paid. Finally, the guy folds. JC stands up and proudly shows 6s 9h for bottom pair, and rakes a massive pot. Needless to say, the Asian dude went on severe tilt after the hand and was left speechless.JC is, I believe, the chip leader going into tomorrow. Zee Justin & Marvin Garden are both in as well. GL to all 3."JC, care to post a full report?

JC, care to post a full report?
Well, the final today starts at 3 PM PST, and JC will barely be awake by then, so I doubt that'll happen today.Gl, don't suck, etc etc.

lololol. i've seen him make this play repeatedly online, maybe even too much as I've seen him bust from a good dozen tournies making a very similar play. this is obv the best possible place for it though, great move. GL JC, win and stuff

Erm, I guess it's a good play since it worked out but I bet if a newb told the same story of 'his biggest bluff' everyone would start flaming him.It was really, really sick though. I've made big bluffs before but this one was MASSIVE. I'm not saying it's a good or bad play but all the typical TAG tourney players on these forums shouldn't approve (but as everyone knows I am far from TAG :club:).Anyway, good luck to JC!

I made my post before reading this one btw.But yeah, it would seem that it wouldn't work all the time. But, hey, you play MTTs to finish at the FT and win them, not to get 2 or 3 times your buy in back

agreed, and JC is the epitome of go big or go home in his tourney play.

not to hijack this thread, but are you guys as impressed with zeejustins live play as me? i mean he had the massive # of fts at that tourney series, then he ft'd one of the side events in the bahamas, cashed in tunica (i believe) and now this.. good to see he made the transittion well

here's the deal. first, he might have had the best hand. second, he picked a great spot against another player with a lot of chips.it's not that sick, it's not that great. it's just a pro move that most people on this forum will salivate over/make fun of depending on how it works out.my guess is daniel would pooh-pooh this kind of move in most situations, but that doesn't make it wrong.
