No, you played it fine. COULD you get more money by check/raising? Maybe, if someone hit something on the flop. Is it worth the risk of it being checked around and giving draws (The spade one being most prevalent) a free card? Not really.

I couldn't agree more. This is probably not a flop you want a caller on.

I'm playing the same wayNever ever ever check raise an overpair that may or may not be the best handYeah, trip jacks is eminently possible, but so is giving a free card to a nut flush draw (who'd call anyway)Only slow play hands that are clearly way out in front...QQ isn't one
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

I will never use the hand converter cuz no one will tell me how to use it and to post the showdown.

Why do you want to post a showdown? You will get result oriented responses.I'll tell you how to use it for exactly $7.24. I want to play in the N.O. next week.
back for kramit

Post-flop looks fine to me. Don't question your post-flop bet just because everyone folded this one time.I might have either re-raised more pre-flop or simply flat-called though. I dislike the rather small re-raise that you did. The re-raise you made just looks like a pot-building raise of sorts, with no intention of thinning the field much. That is generally a bad idea when you are holding a hand as vulerable as Queens.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes the raise was to build the pot. I however didnt want to raise too much as I was afraid that everyone might fold.Maybe Im expecting too much from my opponents hehe.

That was the only way to play it. Why give a possible free card to someone on a draw that will beat you? Well played.

Yes the raise was to build the pot. I however didnt want to raise too much as I was afraid that everyone might fold. You're really overvaluing your hand. QQ is only a pair. Raise it more preflop and take it down while you have it. Don't slow play a pair.
