I'd like to have written the Harry Potter series.I think that being a billion dollars richer would agree with me.
I would MUCH rather make less money than I do now and be viewed as being as awesome as DFW than be as rich as the Harry Potter *****, but also be seen as being as illiterate as people who are actually into reading see her.

Wow, I have way too many to list. It'd be nice if I had just an ounce of talent and be able to write anything halfway decent. That's my main goal. And just to piss off Dutch, I wish I had written The DaVinci Code....

What did that scrot bring in with that thing, $88mil.? At least no one reads enough to like Jonathan Safran Foer.

I really wish I'd written Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Wilco's finest album. I think the songwriting and arrangements are pretty great. If I had to pick a movie, it'd be something like The Godfather II, because it's just so damn sweet. And the book would be "Ender's Game." I respect good Science Fiction, and I've never been a very literary person.

I think being a literary snob is fine, but I'll take a billion dollars and the knowledge that I've entertained millions upon millions of people anyday. It's a good story...anyone that can't appreciate that is right on that precipice of being just smart enough to know how smart they are (and be able to look down on everyone else), but not so smart that they can take a step back and see things from a different perspective. You're like the math professor that just doesn't understand Will Hunting. Or maybe like the majority of philosophy majors that.......I don't feel like finishing this thought. Anyways, see what I did there? Yeah, me neither.
