How is turning stone resort and casino's poker room. Loose, high stakes, typical tourist destination. Does anyone know what their limits range from. I'm going to be in the area in June and I was planning on checking it out. Anyone have any details?

Wow, that couldn't have been more helpful. I'm going to be in the area in early June for my cousins college graduation. I've been playing poker online for about 6 months, and turned a 25 dollar investment into 500 dollars playing small stakes hold 'em and a litte Stud. Thought it would be an expierence trying my luck in a live casino game. I think my chance of winning here are comparable to what I've seen online. Thanks again.

Actually, it's a "double" graduation party. One is graduating from Ithaca College and the other is graduating from Weedsport high school, about 45 minutes away from the casino.Another question. I've never played a spread limit game. What modifications to my play should I make from straight limit?

I play pretty regularly at TS, and I enjoy it thoroughly. The poster earlier made a good point - when you're playing for the first time at a low-limit/stakes table, it's a good idea to tighten up, develop your image and then go for it later on.I actually played last Saturday at the $1/$2 NL, $100 max table for about 3 hours. I probably folded my first 15 hands, commenting a few times how I wasn't getting cards and how the new "rake strucure" ($5 fee every 1/2 hour) wasn't good for "tight players like me."Then, I found that people would back away a bit from my raises and I could take advantage of my strong reading skills to beat a player head's up in a pot. When I saw a weak raise and just two callers, I re-raised from the button 3x the original raise with 33 and saw it fold around. Just try not to act like it's your first time there - experienced players will pick up on it and take advantage. Good luck!
