Alright so I am not sure if I want to put more money online. I went on a large downswing and I only keep a short roll on poker sites with all the craziness. I am concerned that I will not be able to get the money offline. I am not talking about a huge amount of money here. Something in the neighborhood of $400 to get me a short roll for $50 NL.

I know this doesn't really belong here but I don't really want Generals opinion if you know what I mean.

ZOMG I ate a sandwich for lunch!

I would only put money online if you are ok with the possibility that you may never get to see it or any winnings derived from it materialize in front of you. If you're willing to fade all the new methods/roadblocks, deposit away. If, however, the money has immediate consequences for your financial situation I might consider waiting a few more weeks to see what develops. Every week seems to bring another twist in this saga, so if you can afford to be patient it's not your worst option. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

If you're talking about PokerStars or Full Tilt, I wouldn't worry too much about getting your money out, I think you'll be fine. If you're thinking of putting money into Bodog, there's a very small risk until we get maybe a full week after the Super Bowl, but I've still got 30% of my BR chilling there, so I'm not very worried about the risk there either.

I've kept money online. If I lose it, I will not be happy, but it's my "fun money", I'm not worrying about paying the mortgage with it. I enjoy playing too much, I'll keep plugging away until they start blocking IP's.

I think it's fine, as long as you are not playing with money you really need....in which case you shouldn't be gambling with it anyhow wink.gif

I am not depositing at smaller sites.

I still have my whole roll online between stars, UB, and full tilt. Im not happy with the current withdrawl options so im leavin it there. If im ubable to get it offline for 6 months or something i would be kinda fuqed but im still keeping the faith. I think you will be fine if you want to deposit

I run goot so I am up $500 or so with rakeback in the last two days. So I don't need to deposit, I decided I wasn't going to deposit anymore money, just because I don't know how I would get it off.

icon_dance.gif for running good.

ah shucks.
you two sure are swell!

in a nut shell, playing and posting were taking up too much of my time - or better yet occupying too much of my thought time.
I'm actually quite bored these days since my job is less demanding here and my wife has yet to move down.

Actually, "bored" is not a good word. Life is looking so up for me now and along with that will be a better balance. (I tend to have an addictive personality to deal with anxiety)
The problems of w/d made it easier to stop playing. I had taken most off the site already, per our recent home maintenance projects and concern due to w/d issues. I literally donked and gave my last $100 of so away after about $80 worth of bad beats out of MTT's 11 days ago. In some weird way it was cathartic. Figured, if I w/d it, then I'd probably justify putting it right back on. Over all, due to a decent run in the 180's a made a bit of $$$ of Stars; but my earn rate had slowed compared to the Party days.

There will be a place for Online Poker and Me in the future. Moderation will be the key. And getting rakeback along with more advanced study of the game, should also be a part of it. EDIT: Not that I really played a ton of hands..but I "had to play" whenever I was home and would get the shakes if I hadn't played for awhile. In the future I'll multitable more and play a more focused/time limited game

Seeing you reading this thread made me want to play a bit of PLO, so I looked on Crypto to see if you were sitting, but I didn't find you. I would have sat if I saw you. smile.gif
