Anyone know where you can get a decent chip at a decent price?

I have cheap plastic chips for small tourneys; I want to get decent clay chips for a home ring game.

I want to get real clay chips, but don't want to gamble with picking a random set, or stickers for chips on ebay, so any thoughts or experience on buying / customizing would be helpful.

chiptalk.net

Free forum, just register and start looking. There are vendors, and forum members all looking to buy, sell, trade just about anything, and some very good customization folks there too.

NOTE--I am not a vendor, nor seller at chiptalk.net, and have no financial stake in this.

Chiptalk.net is not a bad idea. Here is a link: http://www.chiptalk....referrerid=7097
If that does not work out for you you can get a decent deal on either ebay or discountcasinogear.com

Your best bet would be chiptalk because if you are good enough you can find people that will plain out give you chips. I have almost 80 chips of lots of varieties for free.

I got come nice WPT chips which I use in cash games. We don't usually have cash games, but I prefer to use the WPT chips because they are alot rarer than my other set, and I use the other set in tournaments which makes it easy for anyone to pocket chips.
WPT chips....

Actually, while looking for pics of the chips I have, I found this link which might interest you.

Dice chips.....

http://www.homepokertourney.com/chips_review.htm

Just about all the chips there are to choose from. very detailed and the prices are a bit outdated but links are provided
to the retailers for quick check.

Chiptalk.com is an excellent place to learn about chips.

Well there is not exactly a thread where you give them your address and they ship them to you, but if you make a username there and ask around I am sure someone will at least help you out. So if you make a username there and start asking questions people are more than happy to help out.
Basically you have to look around and they will help ya get the chips you need

Also homepokertourney.com is a great place as well.

Good luck,

I have made a few purchases from spinettis. Google it or look for them on ebay.
Good product and you get to pick the mix of the sets.

I bought these through chiptalk...they were not cheap, but they are ceramic, and the images are on the chip, not stickers.

Lot's of very helpful information on the chiptalk site. That's where I got all my info. That and homepokertourney.

Samples are key, and in the long run, rather inexpensive, as most of the times you can sell them to someone else who will be in the same place a few months from now.

Viva la Faux Clay!
