Greetings,
I enjoy playing pot limit Omaha High Low Tournies online and do faily well. I wanted to improve my game with possibility of playing in the WSOP Pot limit Omaha H/L event this year.
My question is if anyone know of any good books / resources on pot limit H/L tournamnet play. I cannot seem to find anything and am unsure if it exists.
I thank you for your help.

"He kept going all-in with two and three outs", said Ellers, "so I just kept taking his money. In no time, my debts were paid and I no longer needed to beat up that sweet old lady."

I've never read it but I know Cloutier wrote a book on all the forms of tournament omaha.

i don't see that tournament play would be any different than cash PLO8 mixed w/ a standard NLHE tourney theory (the relations of cEV to $EV, etc.) except that as blinds escalate the play becomes more like shortstack PLO8 where AA36 UTG is way stronger than A234 on the button, where in a deepstack cash game the exact opposite would most likely be true.
cham would probably have it down to a science, but the question is akin to asking a PGA pro whether or not you should try to shoot the windmill.

if you're not playing the notes in front of you it's not mozart.

Yeah navy is right. Especially since this is a $1000 or $1500 buyin event (i forget), AA anything is going to be a fairly big hand if you are a short stack. AA anything is almost always a coinflip or better even in PLO8, although it will be a slight dog more often due to the hi/lo split nature of the game. AAQ7 badugi is only a 62/38 dog against all possible AA23's. Against non AA hands, AA trash has a better chance of winning. When you are a shortstack, the fact that the low doesn't show up 40% of the time can be your friend.
Playing turbo SnG's will help your jamming abilities, thats for sure. Since its the WSOP, there may be more room for post flop play...but at the higher blind levels, I sorta doubt it.

WSOP Preps:
The WSOP event is a $1500 IIRC so the stacks will be pretty small and it will develop quickly (level 4 or 5, about 5 hours in at most) into a pushfest for a couple of levels until the stacks shake out and relatively few are very short relative to the blinds. If you can get into this third phase, you will probably cash as long as you can play reasonably well. Your objective should be to get to Phase III with a well-above-average stack, in which case you shoudl be working on hitting the FT.
The best preparation for this are the Stars tournaments, especially the 360 player, but the guaranteed will work too - just a bit more expensive. You want to be playing to get exposure to these 3 phases so you can figure out how to adjust your play. SNGs are OK for some of this - and definitely better than nothing. However the key component (IMO) you must learn to do well in a live tournament is patience.....and turbo SNGs won't help with this!
If you find yourself short, you just have to pick a spot and go for it, preferably HU: there is no disgrace busting out with a good steal/push hand if you are short...."go big or go home".
Pubs:
I have not found any good publications on PLO8 touraments - it is tough enough to find good ring game info. My favorite general tournament book though is McEvoy's, which has specific sections on each game. (It is a bit old, so you want to read it to get at the key concepts and then re-calibrate for the standard of play that you are seeing today to get at hand-specific advice). This may help you develop some all-round tournament strategy.
The best book I have found on stack-based tournament play is Harrington vol 2. You can read this and then try to figure out what the PLO8 hand equivalents are for low-M play.
Good Luck

It depends on my schedule and bank roll availability. In an ideal world I will go out for all of June and play all the O8 events as well as some of the others (HORSE, 2-7, Razz, E).
