I made no poker related goals and hit all of them.I did get a new job and about to close on a new home. So, that was a goal somewhere in December.
Gratz on the new house. How are you liking AL? I've noticed you're posting less, which is probably a good thing.

I didn't post my goals, maybe I should start. O and I surpassed my yearly hourly rate goals, but i thought I'd be able to play atleast 10 hrs a week. It turned out that I could only play about 3-5.

ty sir!Alabama, well Birmingham.... eh..well The South Eastern/Central part of Greater Birmingham (Homewood, Hoover, Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Cahaba Heights...) area is pretty awesome. I had lived in TN for 15 years and then coming from IN, it's not a real culture shock. House is 12min from work A super plus for me. That limited my options, but I'd prefer to be able to go home for lunches sometimes and not get caught on the busy highway for a 45 min commute morning and night.of course, selling our home is not going as well. Very dry market. Only been about a month though. Yeah, Zach's right, it's blocked at work. And you are right: It's a good thing. Unreal the atmosphere difference here vs the ole job. I don't feel the need to escape to the forum all day for one thing :DMy serious (lol, I'm not sure I ever was "serious") poker days are probably numbered. Right now I'm still alone in the temp housing. I'm moving to the new home Feb 18th and likely my wife will stay in IN until that house sells. While we have two mortgages, her income up there is coming in handy; but it sucks being without her. thanks for asking!

Thanks for finding all these Abba. Since my old PT crashed, these threads are about the best record-keeping I have. I clocked in at just over 64% of my goals in terms of total profit. I never really thought of them as what my average results would be though as much as I thought of them as something to shoot for. Here are my goals and profits since June (going with low end goal if I had both a high and low end goal or the bottom end if I had a range) (Red = lost money, dark green = made money but missed goal, bright green = hit goal)JuneGoal: $10,000Results: -$1,300JulyGoal: $10,000Results: +$4,000AugustGoal: $15,000Results: +$11,588SeptemberGoal: $15,000Results: +$5,500OctoberGoal: $10,000Results: +$1,000NovemberGoal: $15,000Results: -$16,700DecemberGoal: Break evenResults: +$25,100JanuaryGoal: $20,000Results: +$32,000 (not final)As you can see, the last two months have been a lot better to me than those that were previous, as I didn't hit my goal in any of the first six months.

Well, I was in a bit of a transition through a lot of those months, for various reasons, so my goals weren't usually a strict money value, but let's see:June:Goals: Get back on my feet with my pathetic roll, and not go broke. Results: Sorta did. This I believe was on a stake from pokerplayer24, IIRC, and I cleared like $1k mostly from 1/2.Verdict - Good MonthJuly:Goals: $1500ish. To finish up at 1/2, get to 2/4, and be ready to move to 3/6 by the end of the month. Results: Went broke playing out of my roll mid to late in the month (that's not in the threads). Somehow managed to get aim786 to stake me $220 to play $11 sng's on Stars near the end, and revised my goals. Ended up a bit from those to end the month, leaving me with about $250 starting August.Verdict - Disaster.August:Goals: Finish aim786's stake ASAP, leaving me with a $200 BR to grind and get to $600.Results: Started playing NL and won about $2500-$3000 and had the best month of my life to that point, paid off some of my debt, and left myself with like $1600 for a BR.Verdict - Great month. http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=69170&view=findpost&p=1362946September:Goals: $4000-$5000 playing NL, play a WCOOP event. Results: $2000-$3000, including cashes in both WCOOP events I played in.Verdict - Decent month.October:Goals: $2000 from $100 NL, FT an MTT, win another $180.Results: -$670 (up $580 in cash games, and down like $1250 in tournies)Verdict: Found a leak, lol.November:Goals: $4000 at $100 NL or 20k hands. Results: Played a ton more live, and very little online. Live play tends to equal me gambling my money away on table games. Which did happen, although I didn't mention it in the thread. Was broke by the end of the month, or the first few days in December.Verdict: Disaster #2.December:Goals: Literally to find a stake to get back into the game. Results: Got a $750 stake from simo_8ball, and ran it into $2700ish, paid off the deal, and left myself with $1000 and some accrued rakeback to be paid in January.Verdict: Great month.January:Goals: $2k-$3k playing LHE on AP including bonus/rb.Results: With 2 days left in the month, I'm up > $4k.Verdict: Amazing month. They need to all be like this.**************************************************The ups and downs of my rise to the top?- Zach
