If there are two things LHE players like, they are weed and pornography. The third would be kittens. LHE does not appear on the list.

I'm not begging for a job, but why doesn't the staff look at appointing more mods?Every other forum I've been a part of has Admins, Super Mods and Mods. Admins have free reign, Super Mods usually have large sections of the forum and Mods usually just have a very small section to maintain. The guys who are very active in Strat should be considered for those Strat sections. The guys who are active in General (OT and Gen Poker) should be considered for those areas. And so forth.

I haven't read any but the first 5 or so posts in this thread but I'm guessing there's no one to post in the Sick thread anymore. Sad really.

I know that when I used to get into it with people here it was usually related to how I was running/playing at the tables/life. Not always, but mostly. Most probably wouldn't admit it, but I'd bet it's the same for others as well.I think poker forums, especially ones like this that are smaller communities, are different than most forums in that sometimes the very thing we come here to talk about is a freakin sore subject.FCP is a great place for many reasons and I thank everyone who makes it great. A little less flaming would be a good thing, I just hope it doesn't get too restrictive.

I :club: gossip. How the hell did I miss this all last night ?Mods, most of us appreciate all you do. Adding a few couldn't really hurt, could it ? I'd second/third/whatever the nomination for Zach. Actuary seems to be pretty level headed too and obviously spends a lot of time here. RAB and HangukM seem pretty devoted to FCP. There are a lot of people here who seem like they would be great candidates. Are we over the salary cap ?

Modding could be fun...but I think it'd be best to assign certain people to specific sections...delegate the various parts out.

As with most things in life (poker def. included) there are up swings and down swings. This is how the forums (general poker mostly) have been for the 2 + years I've been lurking/posting. There are times where there are several very thoughtful, intelligent (mostly) poker related threads going on and other times when damn near every thread gets hijacked into a flame war that would make high schoolers blush. While I am a big fan of sarcastic humor, the out and out personal attacks are boring and childish and have no place on a "poker" forum. I am happy to hear that the mods are going to crack down on the idiocy but I also hope they use the good judgement they have shown in the past when determining if someone is being funny or attacking for the sake of attacking. As for the rest of us, I would encourage the veterans especially not to be such "forum snobs" when it comes to someone asking a question that was already asked 6 months ago for instance. Some understanding that new posters have no clue what was posted previously and likely aren't familiar enough with the forum yet to even know how to search would go a long way towards decreasing the amount of flames and hard feelings. The vast majority of us are here for the same basic reasons, our love of Poker and the desire to associate with others that enjoy sharing their insight, strategies and love of the game.We all need to take a step back and remember what brought us here in the first place once in a while.

I wouldn't want to be a Mod either. That would mean I'd actually have to read, understand and apply the TOC.
