Might wait for the river to raise with MP in the picture. If he's got a low to middling diamond, you'll get an extra bet in that way more often than CO will check the river. Occasionally, if CO is good, he might even fold to a turn raise where he'd put another bet in if you wait.As played on the turn, you probably should fold to the river raise, but I never ever do. I mean who's going to think to bluff the straight flush diamond? Absolutely no one ever. And is the K going to raise here? Never. You're probably ahead 1 time in 25 tops. Can't blame you for making the crying call though. Awfully painful to see your nut flush sucked out on.

iggy, that was primarily my question...whether we should just call the turn and wait to raise the river...and whether this was at all foldable on the river.She ended up flipping over the monster Qd7d...for the first six-card straight flush I've ever seen.

Yeah, I sit on my nuts here until the river.When maknig that decision, I usually factor 2 variables:- are there other players I wish to drag along?- how much can I gain from popping the turn?In this situation, there is another opponent that might play on for 1 more bet.But he will almost surely fold for 2.And there is really no way to gain anything extra from raising the turn.Since the raise screams Nut Flush, Villain will know he is behind and will (at most) call us down from there.In contrast to this example...If I had A2 on a AA2 board, I would raise the turn.Because if Villain holds something like AK or 22, he may be convinced that he has the best hand and I can expect to win a whole bunch of bets on both the turn and the river.Waiting until the river to raise could cost me 3+ BB.--CM
