There are still a number of pairs that we beat and that we'd like to value-bet against more passive players, but against people this aggro, I prefer to let them bluff if they don't have it. Heck, he might even value-bet a small pair for us. Let me add that 88 is right on that cusp though. If this were 99/JJ, I'd definitely go ahead and bet/call it. Link to post Share on other sites

I was torn because of the guys stats i figured checking might be a little weak here since the only card I am really worried about is the T. But then again I suppose check calling was the way to go on the river, because if he had a hand like 9 high or something he would have deffinately bet.
