I agree the commentary was brutal. He talked over all the good stories. Besides DN and the Mouth, the play was unimpressive at best. David Grey's smooth call of Dolly's check raise on that straight was the only strong play he made all week.

I listened to some of that commentary from the 2005 main event so i guess i'm also a "dork". Daniel was the only one who knew what he was doing. At one point, they left the microphone on during a break and the producers were caught bragging about how much better he was than the other pros who took a shift. Hellmuth called the final hand when Hachem flopped the straight and he was typical Helmuth.
That guy does need to shut up on poker after dark once in a while. I want to hear the stories between dolly and grey more than his idiot jokes.

ya the guy isn't very good but i don't find that he talks that much...
most poker shows have terrible commentating... mostly just really bad jokes...
