benhoug 0
I think I ****ed this hand up pretty good. I was playing 2/4 HOSE on full tilt and this hand came up in O8.UTG calls, UTG+1 raises, fold, I call w/ A 3 4 9 , folds to button who calls, SB folds, BB calls UTG calls (9 small bets)I generally like to call w/ hands like b/c of my diamond draw, and in case a deuce falls b/c then I'm a likely good for the low. Also, based on his play thus far in the session I put the raiser on A2XX.Flop: 9 4 2 Sweet, I've got the low draw, and 2 pr.UTG checks, UTG+1 bets I call, button calls, BB folds UTG folds. (12 small bets).Turn: 7 . Again, sweet, I've got my low and I still have 2 pr and now a diamond draw to boot. Basically at this point I think I'm free-rolling w/ a ton of outs to the high, so I love the position I'm in.UTG+1 bets I raise button 3-bets UTG+1 calls and I call. (15 big bets)River: blank .UTG+1 bets, I call, button raises, UTG+1 3-bets I call, button calls. (final pot 24 big bets)The river made me sick, having to call 2-cold like that w/ only a low. I would never make this play if it were reversed and I had the low w/ A2, but the pot is so big and I think my A3 is good enough times here to call. I'm still a little sick though. What I'm most interested is the turn and river. Was my raise on the turn terrible? How 'bout calling 2-cold on the end? For a flop that hit me so hard this pot turned UGLY.
Chamonyx 0
Jam the flop to try to isolate raiser and at the very least make the flush draws pay.Jam the turn to really make the naked flush draws pay.As played, river is fine. (if you had isolated on the flop and raiser had 3 bet, you can just call here. If he didn't 3 bet then I would bet this river for value against one player who had checked to me. bassplayer45459 0
Though me personally, i would just call the bets on the flop, though i believe the correct play is to 3-bet that flop. Flush draws and maybe a small set are raising here. I like the way you played it, just think you should have 3-bet it on the flopAlso pre flop, alot of people love these hands, you would see matusow, gus, alot of pros raise this pre-flop. Vman96 0
Raise flop, jam turn, call river. River sucks, but that happens unfortunately
benhoug 0
Raise flop, jam turn, call river. River sucks, but that happens unfortunatelyI'm really kinda surprised everyone advocates jamming this flop. Obv. our low draw is good, but am I not valuing the 2 pr. enough here??? Vman96 0
I'm really kinda surprised everyone advocates jamming this flop. Obv. our low draw is good, but am I not valuing the 2 pr. enough here???UTG+1 is the raiser...so he probably has A3 + something. But it could easily be as little as A23 which you are crushing at the moment. And you are even beating AA3 at the moment. Raise and then if he 3-bets back, then you can slow down. And if that happens, I raise the turn on a complete brick if he bets into you again. If he has A399, A344, or A322...then thats just unlucky. If he has something like A35 with 2 spades, then thats not good either, but you'll quickly become the fave again if the turn bricks. You have a monster heads up on the flop and there are VERY FEW hands you are significantly behind to that would raise preflop.

benhoug 0
So I guess now it's time for the unfortunate results. My read was correct on UTG+1, but he unfortunately had A23X. Amazingly button also had A3XX w/ :spade:s, so despite flopping and turning what appeared to be a monster I got 1/3 of 1/2.

JacKingOff_suit 0
The flop and turn plays as the others said.Against loose tables (say 10/20 and below) I 3-bet this hand preflop a lot of times (depending on who's limping/raising and who's behind) because 1, Your hand has no poor equity against the other players' hands preflop. Your baby hand against others' baby hands are just about the similar strength preflop, so I will either enter the pot with a raise or call with a hand with different strength (say all high cards, or enter the pot from BB with ds junks if it's just one raise) 2, You can buy the button. 3, Your hand still has good scooping potentials and don't underestimate it, it could hardly be hurt both ways. 4, If you are just calling, you are creating pot equity to allow inferior hands to call to beat you. Button has to think three times for calling a 3-bet to enter the pot preflop. 5. Creating deceptions. You will be observed as a wild gambler and you will get a lot of actions. You need to run the table over, not the other way around.
