Playing 2-5NL @ the Borgata:2 players at the table are playing a lot of pots and have deep stax, Im sitting with about $500. Call em Sean and Rob, Sean to my left, Rob to my Right and the button is between em. I limp in MP (1st one in) with 78, Sean limps, Rob raises to $15 in the BB, me and Sean call.Flop:7 8 KRob leads out for $35, I raise to $100, Sean calls, Rob folds.Turn:KPlay here?I thought, well maybe he has a big pair or some other piece but there is a strong liklihood Im counterfeited or worse, but I need to find out. I bet $100. I realize Im giving great odds here but I figure he cant call with a lot of hands, possibly including 99-QQ, and that if he does call Im obviously beat and dont have enough to make him fold the river anyway. Thoughts?PS. He insta-called my turn bet. River was a brick. I checked, he bet $100, I folded. The rest of my day went similarly...kill me.

You've gotta restructure this hand history...it makes no sense that Rob is not leading the action when he's in the BB.

No I was first to act PF (UTG+2), then I have Rob leading out post flop(BB). I think its right.

I guess the river action..you said you checked and he bet $100...how's that possible?

I think he folds to your flop raise with 99-QQ. The hand that might fold is an open-ended straight draw.

limp, call preflop and cold call flop: behind: Kq, 88, 77. ahead: 910 56. I probably check the turn here and see what happens. I'm not ashamed to check the turn here and give a free card to a draw because I can get shut out of the pot real quick here.

I realize checking the turn was an option but I felt given his call on the flop that I had a chance to win it right there. He was a fairly sticky player who could've called with a wide range not including a K. Also, Im not behind KQ on the flop.

He's really calling w/ 9's here? really? I don't know. That's extreme balls/stupidity to call your reraise cold w/o atleast a king or a draw. when the king pops, i'd assume you take down the pot betting against a draw, but if you call him a sticky player, i'd be more likely to think that he's calling the flop with a king. I haven't played the 2/5 at the Borgota but have heard that a lot of the Trop 2/5 crowd has gone over there. If that's the case, i'd just let this guy bluff off two streets.

Also, Im not behind KQ on the flop.

Good point!He later told me he flopped 888 which I suppose is believable but regardless, I must absolutely put him on AA, a K, or a FH. You're right he really cannot have 99-QQ. I really almost paid it off just to see it, but then the cheap b*stard in me wouldn't let me.
