As you can see this poll is seperated by the last 3 decades that the cast member first started on the show. I decided not to include any cast members that weren't on for at least 2 years. With only 20 choices per question, there wasn't enough room for every cast member. So I also tried to only include cast members that received a majority of TV time. The only major replacement, was not including Ana Gasteyer so that Will Ferrell could be on the list.

Edit: The subject should read: Of the Past Three Decades
2011 Goal

Phil Hartman is a genius
I opened up a container of yogurt, and under the lid it said "Please Try Again," because apparently they were having a contest I was unaware of. But I thought I might have opened the yogurt wrong. Or maybe Yoplait was trying to inspire me — "C'mon, Mitchell, don't give up. Please try again. A message of inspiration from your friends at Yoplait — Fruit on the bottom, hope on top."

Celebrity Jepordy was amazing.

I went with Bill Murray, Phil Hartman, and Will Ferrell... although I'm not a good judge of it since I've seen very few of the 70's and 80's episodes.

John Belushi
Phil Hartman
Maya Rudolph (because she's plenty talented, but not as hot as I thought)

So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark, that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.” —Raoul Duke, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas

Whoever voted for Jon Lovitz must have confused "best" with "most annoying and unfunniest piece of breathing shit".

This poll is flawed in more ways than I care to list.

I voted for:

Dan Akroyd
Dana Carvey
Chris Farley

.....and John Lovitz twice.
