Who is going? I'm in Vegas right now I'm pumped for the fights!
This will probably be the biggest pay per view in the UFC history.
The undecards fights, eh not so great. But Leben vs McDonald should be good
plus the return of Arlovski.
The biggest news of UFC 66 is the annoucment of Mirko Cro Crop the the heavy weight division
of the UFC. In case you haven't been following the UFC also bought out the WFA and the remaining
contracts of the fighters. The UFC has announced they picked up Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's contract.
They also have signed Heath Herring, Razor Rob McCullough who is an awesome striker at LW. Jason Miller,
Ivan Salverry, were signed as well.
07 Will be great for the UFC, This year the "The Ice will be broken". If Quinton Jackson comes back with his heart and mind in it, Chuck Will get schooled like he did the first time.

ditto.
Does anyone else give Pe De Pano (Marcio Cruz) a shot against Arlovski? I took a small shot with him at 4-1. Also can't wait for Cro Cop, although I think he is better suited to Pride because they tend to stand fighters up faster than UFC does imho -- if he gets a shot at Silvia, he could potentially win via murder
"So you're Sicilian, huh?"

UFC Reset Bet
Book Closes Fighter 1 v Fighter 2 1 2
Dec 30 18:00 Chuck Liddell v Tito Ortiz -250 +175
Dec 30 18:00 Andrei Arlovski v Marcio Cruz -700 +400
Dec 30 18:00 Forrest Griffin v Keith Jardine -350 +225
Dec 30 18:00 Eric Schafer v Michael Bisping +300 -500
Moneys on Liddell, I hope UFC takes over boxing as boxing has just lost its lustre over the years. I find UFC more entertaining and unpredictable.

It was a good fight. Even though it seemed inevitable that Liddel was going to win either by TKO or KO, I think the ref stopped it too early.
I agree, the point the ref stopped it at should NOT have been a stoppage.
Anybody know why that donk was ref'ing instead of John McCarthy? I guarantee he wouldn't have stopped the fight there. Even Randy Couture on the commentary was saying "he's not hurting him, he's not doing any damage with these shots"...then it gets stopped.
He easily COULD have stopped it in the first round when Oritz was on the ground getting his face pummelled, but didn't (not sure why Chuck didn't keep punishing him there either...).
Weak stoppage at that point in the third though, like you say, was inevitable though. Chuck outclassed him from the opening bell.

overall, though, I think they let the fights go longer lately.
Even Herb is learning.
with the depth UFC is getting now, I wish we could have more "big Name vs Big name" per card.
There just aren't enough events per year to get them all in.,
So many matchups I'd love to see.
