The problem with Hicks and Stanhope is that to fully understand them and their brilliance, you need to watch hours and hours-worth of material, which is hard to convince your average Dane Cook fan to do.

I disagree although Hicks is a little like Beer as Jim Rome saysI just think you have to be in the right place to appreciate Stanhopes gutter poetry = he's not for everyone although I really am growing in appreciation for him in leaps and boundsHe's decided not to be part of the mainstream both in his material and in the clubs he books himself in - he's doing it on his own terms and I really respect thatI never thought that anyone could be bigger to me than Hicks but he's getting mighty close The only thing is that whereas Hicks wanted to change the world maybe I think Doug just knows the best he can do is watch it get drunk and snub his nose at italthough who knows maybe he will win in 08
