At the weekly $100 tournament I play (20 players started this week) I was down from 3000 chips to 1000 within 10 minutes as I ran my 2 pair into a flopped str8...bad play...I then won a few smaller pots and climbed back to 2200. Now the table leader in front of me (with around 6000) raises to 400 with blinds at50/100. Knowing that he'll call almost any raise, I move in with KK and a different player calls first...so does the initial raiser. Since they still both have chips, we see a flop... and when the As comes on the flop I get up from my chair...but they check it down and show QQ & TT...wow he called with TT after there has been an all in and a caller...well now I am chipleader :)We get to the final table, and with 8 of us left I run my 2 pair into a str8... Damned!!! Again!!!The blinds are now 300/600 (50 ante) and with 1 caller and the blinds already in the pot I go all in for 200 more without looking at my cards. I more than quadruple up when my 94 makes a str8 :)After a few loose calls from the big stacks I'm back to 10000, get lucky again with a QJ vs AT and find myself in the money, with 3 left. 3rd only gets your money back (payout 3rd, $100; 2nd, $560; 1st 1340) As a slightly shorter stack I propose a chop and get turned down...ok then...next hand the chipleaders go all in, and I just made at least $460
)I propose a chop again ($800 each, play for $300) and get turned down again. 1st hand I call the extra 1000 out of the small blind and he raises 8000 more. I go all in with A3, he folds and then agrees to the chop, although he still has the lead.To make a long story longer, he moves in EVERY hand which was totally uneccesary at 1K/2K with 60000 on the table... so I cripple him with AK and then win with a glorious J5 off and take $1100
)So if you ever find yourself severly short-stacked and have 4:1 odds before flop... MOVE IN BLIND!!
