so the question was:Santa just parallel parked his sleigh. Which part of the car is perpendicular to the curb?a. the driver's side doorb. the passenger's side doorc. the back endannie duke didn't get it. i thought this was an easy one, but half the field missed it. people don't remember basic geometry?

That's strange, because even if you couldn't remember the difference between perpendicular and parallel (somehow) - a little logic should've told her the driver side and passenger side are the same relative to the curb. What a yo-yo.

i still can't believe half the field missed it just b/c of this. how could it not come to you that the driver's and passenger's side doors are in the same orientation. i guess a lot of people, including the contestant, picked the passenger's side b/c it's closest to the curb.

It is like Jeopordy or any other game show with riddles or answers. You may know the correct choice at home, but under the lights I am sure it is totally different...

Annie's extremely bright and very knowledgeable. I'm guessing that she assumed this to be an easy question and jumped on the wrong button, because the word "parallel" was in the question, and she chose the first answer that corresponded to "parallel" instead of "perpendicular."The way that this question was written in this post, none of the answers is correct. Santa parallel parked a sleigh and the question is asking about a car.

yea she probably just had a brain fart. i was impressed with her on that show. She went 40 questions before she finally got a question wrong.
I've watched the show a few times and I don't remember it having a tough question. Although, I feel that the contestants are making good decisions to leave with about $150k because the questions are bound to become difficult.

In her defense, Danny Bonaduce missed it too and I believe he is actually considered a genius (assuming he is on his meds). Maybe there is another way of reading the question that we aren't seeing that gets you to another conclusion? I don't see it but maybe?

I'm pretty sure its plain and simple. It was the 2nd question. It was hilarious listening to the girl's reasoning. "It can't be the back end, so I'm pretty sure it's the passengers side"
