Who liked this fantastic show? IMO the first 5 seasons were the BEST of any cop show bar none! Fantastic acting, great character development, amazing story lines! and knowing when to end the story lines before they became redundant! I met clark johnson on a street in toronto probably 10 years ago...i was comming out of a semi pro baseball game and one of the players gave me his bat...and my sister and i see him and call "CLARK CLARK" and he didn't hear so my sister shouts "MELDRICK!" he stopped and signed the bat for me, and talked for a good 10 minutes...excellent Canadian Actor who also directed many episodes!

I just got done watching the Season 1 and 2 DVD set a few weeks ago. Andre Braugher is by far the best actor to grace TV in the past 20 years.

As many TV reviewers described it, one of the greatest shows you've never heard of it. Andre Braugher's acting as Pembleton is some of the best stuff ever seen on broadcast TV.

very true! Braugher is a fantastic actor, there is an amazing twist with him in the fourth season but i won't spoil it, suffice to say it's good!the cinematic aspects are excellent too! even the opening credits are masterpieces that keep you wanting to look into the characters more!

If you haven't done so yet, pick up the book the series is based on by David Simon I believe. Interesting reading some of the cases that are on the show in the first few years (older lady having people killed she has life insurance policies on, the inspiration for Adena Watson, several others). Also good background on the actual detectives.
