Watching Family guy myself.. The Stewie Movie though. These holdem tables are great, but I prefer watching the mixed games. Glad this group is always running in the highest Omaha H/l games.

poor sbrugby, i bet he thought that deuce on the river gave his what he thought might be a worse kicker a split. But Ivey had AK!

Ok, I guess I just do not understand it. Why would Sbrugby want to play Ivey heads up at all? Obviously he is not going to have much of an edge if at all, and Ivey almost certainly has a bigger bankroll to take the variance. I guess it just seems to me like he has an ego and wants to take out the best. Someone make sense of this for me, because I thought playing against someone who may be the best player in the world usually equals NOT a good idea.

Hmm actually sbrugby has had the better of ivey heads up atleast twice in the recent past that i remember. Obviously Ivey's edge is not a significant online as it is live, maybe townsend thinks he's a better player online??

I'm sure being a poker player that he believes he is better than Ivey. My point is, poker is about finding the most profitable situation, and this certainly does not seem like it would be very profitable for Sbrugby.

Well it seems like they are playing fairly close, and I think when they started playing shrugby had a slight edge online, but Ivey is a spunge and it only takes a matter of time before Ivey adjusts and the edge in his favour. I've seen Ivey do this to many eager online pros that are no doubt really talented. Srugby I'm sure will be a much better player after facing such a formidable apponent if it does'nt ruin his psyche or bankroll.

Thats totally false, that might be what poker is about for you.I'll take less profitable situations if I believe I can better my game quicker etc.

Well Jennings with your philosophy, why would poker players play in the big game, as it has the best players in the world and there is never any fish at those stakes. I guess it just comes down to believing ur the best and not caring abt who ur opponent is at tht level...
