Once, I ate two steaks, drank an entire economy-size jar of pickle brine, then stayed up for 60 hours at a campsite, before passing out at 6am on top of a picnic table, two hours before the bus left.
yeah, you'll get pretty delusional after awhile. pretty colours though.
if you spend it at your computer or watching it, you'll feel like crap and just get a headache. if you do some weird stuff, and maybe go for some long walks, it might be worth it.
don't forget the pickle brine.

Don't drive after 60 or so hours, hallucinations at the side of the road are cool for a while, eventually they just get annoying.
I'm not sure if this would be kosher with your family, but you could always just get incredibly drunk within the first couple hours. If your family is anything like mine, they'll be begging you to go "sleep it off".

I stayed up for 74 hours once without sleep. Not something I'd like to try again, although I did come close once. A poker marathon that netted me $1350, and 35 hours without sleep.
