Moneyball16 0
I would just bet/raise the whole way down with no reads. I dont like to slowplay straights normally since there are alot of action killer cards that put a 4 card straight out there and with the fd out there i hate slowplaying even more.As played 3-bet even though it should be obvious what u have. wsox8 10
I would let them do the work until the river.
Actuary 3
I would let them do the work until the river.only because you see them doing the work.that flop is likey to be bet, so I go for a c/r.You should lead if any chance it's chekd thruAs played, definitely c\r 3-bet the flopAs played, defintely cap the flopAnd then lead the turnway too passive. antistuff 0
i think you should have threebet the flop.
Mattnxtc 0
i think you should have threebet the flop.I generally dont like to show to much strength on the flop but my plan was to let them do betting while i just coasted along

Actuary 3
your hand is not that strong. It's quite vulnerable to hands giving you action here.Pump the flop.Lots of turn cards will kill your action or slow you down.In long run you cost your self trying to slow play straight. This is an issue I'm having. PT rated me Semi-Loose Aggressive PF and Passive Post-Flop.With the action you're getting on the flop, I agree with everybody else, keep building it. Dogpatch 2
this is not necessarily a bad thing.Well, so far it hasn't been bad. I'm up. I've had a downswing and came out the other side ok. I think I'm just obsessing over being "aggressive". You know how it is, you hear "aggression wins" coming from everywhere, so you want to be labeled aggressive. But so far I have been successful with my style. Not overly successful, but still in the black. I think the "semi-loose PF" comes from me calling out of the SB too often. I'm working on that. Like I said, I know it's all in my head about wanting to be "aggressive". That stupid notion just knocked me out of a tournament from about 5/26 to 26/25. (BBFIDTS)

Actuary 3
you really might want to consider playing slighly less hands.Ah, don't encourage tightness. Loose is so much more fun!!!Dogpatch, what is your VPIP by position? And are you cold calling a lot of raises?SB VPIP?

Loose is so much more fun!!!Dogpatch, what is your VPIP by position? And are you cold calling a lot of raises?SB VPIP?I'll post the stats when I get home, but off the top of my head...My SB VPIP is high, something like 50-60%. I'm really trying to tighten up there.I hardly cold call at all. I'll get the position stats tonight. I know I'm making most of my money on the button. But that's how it's supposed to be, right? Dogpatch 2
Ok, position stats.Button: VPIP% 25.49 Cold Call% 1.96 1: VPIP% 17.02 Cold Call% 2.132: VPIP% 19.15 Cold Call% 2.133: VPIP% 9.09 Cold Call% 0BB: VPIP% 27.78 Cold Call% 0SB: VPIP% 51.92 Cold Call% 0 Looks like I might be cold calling more than I realize. What's a fair percentage? According to SSHE, it should be very rare for me to cold call.BTW, thanks for looking at these Actuary and everybody.
Actuary 3
I'm not sure what coldcalling % you want to stay under.I guess ColdCalling is being the first to call a raise?Less than 1% overall seems good.I don't mean to emphais PT.Don't be a stats junkie.

Say I was in middle position, UTG raises, I would have to call two bets. (which is exactly what you said now that I look at it) I would swear I never do that, but PT says I am sometimes. And yea, I am getting hung up on stats. I really want to improve my game and I may be leaning on the stats too hard.
Zach6668 513
Cold calling isn't terrible. In the right games, you can do it a ton. I wouldn't get to hung up if PT says you do it 2% of the time. I can dream up a million scenarios where coldcalling is the optimal play preflop.
