dingas 0
.50/1 LHE in a HORSE game.I open raise with QQ, button, sb, and bb call.Flop 456 rainbow, sb hesitates for some time and checks, bb checks, I bet, button and sb call.Turn is an 8 and sb leads out. So there are 5.5 bb in the pot + sb's bet. I'm getting 7.5 : 2 to call down assuming the button folds. Do you read sb's hesitation before check-calling the flop as a strong hand or a draw considering whether to semi-bluff (which would now have me beat)? How often is this a random bluff attempt? Actuary 3
It could also be a silly two pair?Call turn, fold river UI ?
Mattnxtc 0
I will say this...generally hesitations online are not good guides to understanding a tell...there are way to many reasons for the hesitation that dont involve him tryin to decide what to do.
Zach6668 513
It could also be a silly two pair?Call turn, fold river UI ?Pretty easy fold, I think.7.5-1 really isn't good enough for drawing dead, and not knowing what our outs are, if we do have them, and also when we do have outs, we only have 8.Bleh, I'm torn now. I don't hate that line, but once we get to the river, I'd really like him to check to us for a free SD, but, as in our other discussion, would him firing here on the river mean that we are definitely behind, or is it a bluff 1/9.5 times? I hate river decisions like this...

I hate river decisions like this...His turn lead to me is enough of a signal that we are drawing live (he c/r the straight a lot, I think)Sets are always possible, too. I also have trouble with the call turn / fold river UI line when it's uncertain whether improving is going to make a difference. With this pot and our hand on that board, I'd say this is an ok time for that. With folding turn being a close 2nd for me

Actuary 3
I think he's too afraid of it checking through on that scary board to c/r a straight.that too is possible.I was going for the angle that he is too scared to give free cards so he bets.
