JacKingOff_suit 0
As I am reading the hand history and reviewing my opponents' plays. I came across an interesting hand.If you were one of those players (concentrate on CO & MP2, forget about MP3 who is a complete donk) in the pot, would you have played differently? Do you think they overplayed their hands?PokerStars 10/20 Omaha/8 (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is SB with 6, 9, 8, 3. navybuttons 16
jesus!MP3's play is just absolute broccoli, i mean just pure vomit. i'd be more than happy to have him suck out a time or two on me cause i know i'm getting it back.CO's raise and cap on the turn is a bit suspect. he's obviously not isolating and there's not too many rivers he can be happy about.MP2's play's is pretty standard. DoinSublime 0
wow i completely misread this hand because the suits didnt show up the first time. I thought the flush took the high.I still think sets are dangerous in omaha/
navybuttons 16
You have to catch the flop perfectly and have it hold up. It just doesn't show a profit in the long run.untrue. high hands have enough value that you can play them at these stakes (and probably most other stakes as well)
DoinSublime 0
untrue. high hands have enough that you can play them at these stakes (and probably most other stakes as well)I think this a perfect example of why you dont play this hand preflop, hoping to hit a middle set that loses to a straight or flush. Just my opinion.Completely misread the suits, as they didn't show the first time this loaded. Editing everything to show that. I'm going back to general.

Just my opinion. What is untrue about having it hold up? Did it hold up here? What is the average winning high in omaha/8? Straight/flush/boat.i agree that the fact that it's badugi makes it a lot weaker. in low limit O8 your value comes from people chasing weak draws (MP3 in the example hand) and high hands that hold will often scoop and if they don't they can squeeze and punish weaker lows and weaker highs. i would guess that the average winning high in low limit O8 is two pair.sure the CO overplayed it and it cost him money but just because it didn't hold up here doesn't mean the hand doesn't have value. i have probably 1000 HH's of high only hands and there isn't one that i lose money with in any position. checkymcfold 0
jbronx's play i don't like. his flush draw's obviously dead with that much action and he doesn't even have redraws to a bigger 2p if top two is in there.the other guys are fine. personally i'd wait till the turn to pop with a set on that kind of board, but the flop is fine for value if you know when you're beat and when you're not. Chamonyx 0
Pretty standard for both IMO.If I'm MP2, I might go for the check raise on the turn to try to get rid of the guy in the middle, but probably not, as I am probably going to pu tthe other 2 on str8 draws or non nut flushes. Jimmy73 0
I read this today and nearly choked on my luxury cheese and pickle sandwich...I couldn't believe I would cold call from middle position with that trash.I've got home and checked my HHs and discovered the broccoli-playing-donk was a player called "lmnop".Jimmy73 was MP2...PHEW!Apology accepted in advance! JacKingOff_suit 0
Sorry man, I think what I wanted to mark was MP2. MP3 is the one I don't care (although I have notes on almost everyone, no matter they are good or bad).
