i don't fold preflop, unless i plan on folding a flop like this. i'll sometimes 3-bet preflop, depending on the opponent.on a flop like this, i'll generally check/raise (surprise surprise). if he 3-bets, i'll go from there, but often end up folding. you probably have the best hand or a live draw, so i want to push the action. usually i'll push it until i run into aggression, then reevaluate.doesn't mean much i guess, but generally i c/r here.

About a year ago smasheroo was making a case for folding here preflop if the other guy plays well.I dont know if i agree. I dont think it matters much either way. I really dont want to push back on the flop. When a club does peel off, i feel like the only route to take is check/calling the turn and check/folding the river (or bet/fold the turn, interestingly because if a 5 flush board shows up, you will be chopping unlike if you had 44 with the 4 of clubs)And that's pretty much a best case scenario short of nailing a two.

Being good and tricky, I assume he will, or at least is able to, raise with almost any two. If you call and then check the flop, he will probably bet out all of the time. You still don't know where you are. I usually three bet preflop then lead out. If he caps pf or raises the flop you can be done. If he calls the flop, I might bet one more time. As played, I'm not sure. If I'm going with it, I probably bet the flop. Otherwise, what Danny said. I don't think you can just call post flop.

He's raising in position, so his hand needn't be premium. I call the flop, check/raise the turn. IF he Calls, check down, fold to any bet. I don't like check/raise on flop because its become such a standard play a tricky player may re-raise with over cards. Perhaps the best play of all is simply leading the flop folding to a raise, then check down folding to any bet.Alternatively, 3 bet pre-flop, lead flop, lead turn, check down river or fold to raise(this applies to a raise on any street).

I play this very passively.I see showdown unless a non-club Ace hits.And I see it as cheaply as possible

I don't like calling pre here, you don't have much set value, either 3 bet pre or let it go.
