How Badly Did I Play This Hand?

Recommended Posts

$10/20 8 handed @ The MirageBB is loose bad, overplays tp and refuse to fold Ace high ... however isn't very aggressive on turn or river. She'll bluff all the way down but doesn't do too much raising.Hero is in the C/O with A :club: 10 :D Hero open raises, SB calls, BB 3 bets, hero calls, SB calls.Flop: A 10 6 - 2 diamondsSB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB callsTurn: 10 off suitSB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB raise .....The 3 bet preflop and flop check almost always means the nuts right? By the time she c/r the the turn, she had 6 BB left so she was relatively short stacked and players who are short overplay their hands sometimes. What would you do?My play and result in white below.....Turn:Hero reraise, BB rereraise .....etc we get it all in.BB turns over AA for Aces full of tens.*****Edit: No cap in live play when its heads up .... change how we play this hand?

Well since she overplays top pair I think this could be AK or AQ alot more than aces. I play way too passive in these spots, rightfully fearing a big hand. Still We need to 3-bet here and I porbably just raise/call the river. Im sure veryone lese will tell you to cap all streets and maybe they are rihgt given the read she overplays top pair. Meh **** it cap all streets. hope she really is overplaying top pair. A better read on her preflop range would be useful here aswell.Edit: Yeah we are getting this all in.

6bbs is alot to lose when there is no other legitimate hand to put her on.

Some of it would depend on the way she looks while she's playing it, but I'm probably 3-betting the turn, calling a cap and calling the river. I probably bet/call the river if she checks it. I guess AA is the most reasonable hand, but I'm not necessarily buying it without a little more info. If she caps the turn, I'm only calling the river though.

I haven't read the responses yet. I put a 3rd bet in on the turn, and if villian caps, I'll probably just call the river bet. You can FEEL situations like this. When somebody you have control over just starts getting out of line when he/she HAS to have the nuts to beat you... it usually ends up being the nuts. If she had like QT or something, I'm sorry, but given your read of the BB, it seems to me that if you 3-bet and she caps, I'm not betting/raising again. I had this exact same hand about 5 months ago at Greektown, playing 5/10 (I think). Except I had AA, the flop was TT4, and the turn was the case A. We ended up getting about 9 bets in on the turn, before he shut down. Wang

FWIW, there's ONE combination of hands that beat you.3-bet/call the turn.If capped, I'll c/c the river, if not, b/c.I mean, he's got to know we are strong, and has to put us on AT LEAST a T here, if not another set.
