Strategy For Flopped Set

PLO8: This situation continues to bite me.I'm in BB with AK95 unsuited, and 4 players limp. Flop is AA10 unsuited. SB checks. What is the correct play?I'm leaning towards potting, and if I get a caller and don't fill on the turn, check/folding. The alternate of checking the flop and betting the turn after missing seems to be a continually losing play (although small amounts). The advantage of betting the flop includes getting any backdoor low draws out.

i think that betting the flop and then shutting down unless you fill up isnt horrible. this can be such a trap situation if youre not really careful. but if you are careful you can get value here against a bad opponent.

Do not overplay flopped trip, especially out of position.AK95 is really weak on a AAT flop oop. You either win a little or lose a lot. If you have something like AKQJ then we may have something to talk about.

On the given hand I actually underplayed it and lost a little. The flop was checked around. A 6 came on the turn and I bet half the pot, with one caller. I checked the river, and called a small bet, to be shown 66. A bet on the flop would have folded everyone.
