Here you will find the Powe Rankings as well as a look at each teams top pool points per game getter thus far in the season. Also, we'll take a look at the top end salary group. Bolded players are in the top salary group. Players must have 5 AHL games played to qualify:1. i assume the top categories are the determinants for salary raises - if so, how are they calculated? AHL points per game? AHL points per AHL game?don't understand why teemu selanne and chris pronger (for example) is not up there.

AHL pts per AHL game (when they are in the lineup).We chose not to track player performance that closely... it would be easy enough to store all the results in a db and generate all of that info. What has me scratching my head is a good way for people to submit their lineups (and thus can be automagically picked up).

thanks. definitely our way works better for us. actually, i like ours better strategically as well, but i see both points.p.s. let me know something about welch, i'm just curious (about) what it'd take.

The problem with Welch is that I'm really not sure of his value. One one side he's putting up decent numbers in the AHL, and during the summer all of the sites were gaga on him -- ie. thn had him projected to be on PP1, and eventually he'll be playing with Crosby/Malkin. OTH, he still isn't in the NHL and will need to get past Gonchar (signed through 2010) and Whitney for quality PP time.

Just so you know, it won't be Welch manning the Pens future PP, it'll be my man Alex Goligoski. Kid is leading the nation in scoring from the blue line.

Welch does have a couple of years on Goligoski though -- it will be a few years before he's up in the NHL.
