I've already made up my mind, but I'm just wondering what goalies you guys would start tonight?I have 3 sets of goalies; Anaheim, Boston and Ottawa. Anaheim is not an option for me because they are not playing tonight. The MatchupsNew Jersey Devils @ Boston BruinsOttawa Senators @ Nashville PredatorsThe NumbersOttawa goals against average = 2.88Boston goals against average = 3.43Nashville goals for average = 3.23New Jersey goals for average = 2.38Other Factors- Ottawa is playing on the road.- Boston is playing at home.- Ottawa is without Wade Redden and Daniel Alfredsson- Boston is without Phil Kessel and P.J. Axelsson.- Nashville should have Jason Arnott and Steve Sullivan back tonight.- New Jersey beat Boston 5-1 last week.

Given no other choice I'd start Boston at home here. Nashville is going to light up Ottawa, no way Jersey scores more goals against Boston than Nashville does against the Sens.

Tim Thomas has not been great as of late. 4.25 GAA in last 4 games. Emery has been playing well. Even with the home and away factors and Nashville, I might take Ottawa.
I actually see the home/road factor favoring Ottawa because teams tend to play tighter on the road. However, I'm still going with Boston as Ottawa has been a little reckless defensively lately and Nashville has the guns to take advantage of that, especially with Arnott and Sullivan expected back in the lineup.

I expect Boston to play well tonight avenging the drubbing by NJ they suffered in the CAA not too long ago. They were flat out embarassed I say they play well tonight but I'm no sexpert.

I'd go with Boston. Thomas is a fish in a frying pan kind of goalie. He can make the big first save, but sometimes plays himself out of position. NJ is a counterpunching team, not an offensive flury kind of team. So I like the way he matches up against the Devils...

not that Boston is shutting down NJ (3GA), but better than Ottawa's 6 GA. nice call.i would have said ottawa
Exactly the way I called it, Boston will let in goals, Ottawa will let in more.
