Sounds hectic come World Series time. Question for Daniel, if you could win one of the WSOP events (besides the main event) which would it be? Which is most prestigious to the pros? to you? Good luck Daniel.

daniel, best of luck in the wsop. i think your accomplishments in getting WSOP POTY last year are far underrated. you mentioned this in an ESPN interview, but it's a full month of damn hard work, and it's honestly very impressive. i can't imagine playing strong, focused tournament poker for over a month straight, day in and day out... it's out of this world. best of luck again.aseem

the sixhanded NLHE tournies should lend itself to great viewing and heavy on top notch play as its a format thatwon't favor an amateur. Watch out on those rebuy tournies Daniel :D . Do you think the 2-7 might be the hradest considering how good the field will be. Why no Rzz, you don't like putting ourself in a bad mood :-)

wsop isn't doing razz this year. the NLHE craze is too big... alternately, the six-handed NLHE format was introduced, and like you said, it should be interesting.aseem

look again. They are having it as a oneday event. It'll probably be the last year its around for a while.

That's almost 250k in buyin fees. Well i guess he won all of that in won 3rd place finish this year...sure would be nice
yea but the tournaments are more than 1 day(I think 2 day max except for M.E.). So if you survive day one then you can't play the next day's tournament.Still a heck of a lot of $$$ though.

my bad, i totally missed it. i notice that it's on the same day as the 6-handed NLHE tourney though... i don't know if there is a time conflict (starting time), but it makes sense that daniel would want to play the 6-handed one more. that really sucks that they eliminated HORSE and that they'll likely eliminate razz. what next... omaha8?aseem

I think the "Pros" should start an invitation only Series...have a huge variety of games, etc etc. One that isnt so freaking commercialized.
that's basicallly the PPT (professional poker tour), except that right now it's only NLHE. i don't know if there are any plans on expanding the game selection...aseem

The most prestigious event to win outside the main event would be the S.H.O.E or H.O.R.S.E event that Harrah's did away with. I'm absolutely appalled by the decision. The event is always chalk full of great players at the final table and you'd think with a month of events they wouldn't be so ridiculously money hungry that they had to add all of those no limit events and couldn't make room for just one mixed game event. It's the most absurd decision I've seen in a long time and I'm very upset about it. Based on this decision it appears as though Harrah's is only concerned with it's bottom line and cares little about the history of our game. I can't think of one single poker player that would disagree with me when I say that this decision was silly.

agreed. DO you think that they keep the 2-7 tournemnt going becasue it satisfies the big players as you really don't see a weak field for that tournament. Its sad that they have done away with HORSE/SHOE. Somehow I don't think teh Binion family would've done this had they not had to sell their casinos to Harrah's.
