serge 904
Mustangs management after noticing that Yannik Tremblay has been brought up by the Canucks on Thursday picked up the veteran Dman knowing that he would give the struggling Canucks a boost..And what happens..Goal and 2 assists in his first game..Lets hope he stays with the big club..In our league where it s impossible to find any significant defenceman this might be a keeper.. That's not so much about Tremblay's talent as it is about your crappy D. Taaaaaaahhhhhhhnaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
goose 0
I once heard something about nuts and blind squirrells. I can't remember exactly what it was, but I feel it is somehow pertinent to this situation.

Taaaaaaahhhhhhhnaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!See your posts only show how ignorant you are ....First of all my BEST defenceman is head and shoulders above anyone else...and I guess Teppo Numminen the assist maching is no one...I once heard something about nuts and blind squirrells. I can't remember exactly what it was, but I feel it is somehow pertinent to this situation. How about I went through all the transactions and found it before all of you...By the way I was also going to pick up Eric Perrin from TBay before monkeyboy did, but he wouldnt make my roster
goose 0
Serge I saw Tremblay, I didn't pick him up for a couple of reasons:1. There's no guarantee he's going to stick on the Vancouver roster.2. I have a list of players, not currently owned by AHL owners, who I'm waiting for to be called-up/activated so I can pick them up. Tremblay is #17, maybe that's bad scouting, but I don't think he has a lot of lasting potential.3. I think he'll be a career minor leaguer. That said, I hear Tremblay, besides some poor passing (yes I know he had 2A, but from what I've read a lot of his passes were behind people, or they had to reach for the puck, etc.), wasn't a defensive liability. He might end up securing the 6th spot on the team, seeing 10:00 a game and acting as the PP QB, which would be great for you because all you care about is him firing from the point on the PP. At the same time, however, nothing before he played last night's game indicated he was anything other than a bandage for the team. You might have gotten a steal in picking him up, but it'll only be because of bad judgement on my part. You'd better get used to staying three steps behind me, and picking up whatever I pass over, because it's a going to be a recurrent theme in this league for a lot of years to come. He has a great shot, and im not sure about what you read, but i watched the game, and his passes were pretty crisp. but its only 1game.I agree that it looks like a bandaid solution, but I think they brought him over from Europe this year on the feeling that they may need offensive D at some point this year.In pools as deep as ours, there is no chance you can scoff at a D who gets 3pts in his first game and more importantly, is the only D on a PP that features the Sedins, Naslund+Morrison, even if it may end up being only temporary.difference is goose is looking for someone for the next 3 years, and we all know Serge is looking to win now. If your playing for this year, Tremblay is a great pickup. Might crap out, but you have to roll the dice.nice move Serge, if i do say so myself.

WestcoastCanuck 0
Tremblay is a decent pickup, but I still don't see where he fits in once Salo gets called up. The fact that he scored last night might secure him a spot for a while, the Canucks are hurting for anything resembling offence. They could send Edler down I geuss, but personally I think Edler is going to be a good player for a lot fo years.

sleuthis 0
......3. I think he'll be a career minor leaguer.Interesting that a you consider a player with close to 400 NHL games a career minor leaguer.

goose 0
Tremblay tied as the team leader for ineptitude tonight by posting a nice -2 with one giveaway, one penalty which cost VAN a goal, and no points.

goose 0
Oh, and guess who the only player on the Canucks team with a + rating was.... I'll give you guys one guess....He used to be a Mustang, but was too "unproven", "young", and had too much "potential" to remain on Serge's team....no, not Miettenen.....nope, not Chris Stewart......no, not James Sheppard.... Alex Edler! Good guess! As Edler continues to grow comfortable in the NHL you can expect to see him shovig band-aid players like Tremblay aside for PP time. I hope you win a championship within the next 3 years Serge, otherwise you are toast.

I took the lazy shortcut and didn't bother to type out AHL/FCHL. Frankly, I just don't see the need to make so many threads. I admit that I've laughed at some of the anti-serge stuff even though I've never talked to the guy.
