TraptSteve 0
I started watching the reruns earlier this year and have been hooked ever since.Anyone still watch ?It is on scifi and TNT late night. The show made it possible for more abstract themes like Heroes/Lost etc to succeed. I know it is an old show, but it is new to me and I must say I like it a lot. K, i'm done geeking it up now.-steve

You've demonstrated there are people who will go farther ... Fyi, the debut of the xfiles was arguably better than all of those major events (aside from clinton - wouldn't you rather deal with 8 more years of him as opposed to Mr. Bush?).Andibear, I agree that Mulder owns... in a manly-no-nonsense-***-kicking way B) . I can see your point though; he is pretty pimp. Mulder and Scully were a good looking duo. I want to believe
digitalmonkey 929
Apparently "1993" can't read. I know it is an old show, but it is new to me and I must say I like it a lot.

Petoria 0
You're not a nerd for loving the X-Files. If you said that you owned the complete series of "The Lone Gunman" on DVD and that it was better than the X-Files, then you might be a nerd.Petoria once again pwns all in a nerd-off. brvheart 1,768
I've never seen even one episode of this show... but I love the movie. If fact, I really hope that they still make a sequel. I think the main reason I've never seen it, is because I know I will be hooked once I start, and I don't really have time to watch nine seasons of 1 hour shows.
Shimmering Wang 1
It's a great show. The first season is kinda lame/hokey, but after that they get into a groove, it's great. The StandAlone/Monster episodes are awesome, but don't compare to the early "Smoking Man/Conspiracy" threads. The show trailed off at the end, and that's a bitter shame, but it's easily one of my favorites. When I come home drunk on Mondays, I always flip right to TNT.Wang
TraptSteve 0
I just test the waters by saying "this sounds nerdy...", then backtracking when it isn't :)BrvHeart, dude, you need to watch the episodes. The movie is basically a drawn out episode that branches the events of Season 5 & 6. As far as a sequel goes... the main actors are still interested but the creator of the show (chris carter) is in the middle of a law suit with Fox. Probably not going to happen, which is a shame because I think there is still enough of a fan base to cater a movie to.So, Just buy the DVD's - which are sans-comericials and you're set. Yeah, the show did die out towards the end... IMO seasons 1-6 were the best. Season 7 was probably the begining of the decline and it should have ended after season 8. The final season was a complete joke - they attempted to keep the show afloat without the two characters upon which it was built?Yeah ok. I just wish I watched it back in the 90's.Everyone is all "yeah, 24 is cool... Lost is such a great show", and I'm watching the xfiles. Oh well.
