Moneyball16 0
PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)First time playing 6 Max. Playing a bit below my bankroll to test it out.Reads: The whole table was unbelievably loose.SB- very passive both preflop and postflopBB- very aggressiveUTG- unknownMP- plays every hand, peels easily, bets out when hitsButton- very aggressive postflop, adequately aggressive preflopPreflop: Hero is CO with T , K . UTG calls, MP calls, Hero calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks. Is this alright? I would limp here at full ring against opponents this loose and bad so I thought it was fine here.Flop: (6 SB) K , T , 9 (6 players)SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero checks, Button bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG folds, MP calls, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls, MP calls.I probably shouldve just bet protecting my hand hoping that button would raise even if I thought button would bet if I checked right?Turn: (8 BB) J (5 players)SB checks, BB checks, MP checks, Hero bets, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, MP calls.Should I bet here for value? What if Im raised? If I check what should I do for the rest of the hand?River: (12 BB) 2 (4 players)SB checks, BB checks, MP checks, Hero bets? This seems like an easy value bet hu, but should I value bet this against 3 opponents? Zach6668 513
I would definitely lead the flop.A straight will almost always raise the turn, even KJ raises that turn sometimes.I will almost always value bet this river.Oh, and I would consider raising preflop most of the time. Depends on table dynamics for me.
CoranMoran 0
Reads: The whole table was unbelievably loose.Welcome to short handed limit! Preflop: Hero is CO with T , K . UTG calls, MP calls, Hero calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks. Is this alright? I would limp here at full ring against opponents this loose and bad so I thought it was fine here.Sure.With position on all these loose limpers, if you have potflop skills, there is no harm in this. Flop: (6 SB) K , T , 9 (6 players)SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero checks, Button bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG folds, MP calls, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls, MP calls.I probably shouldve just bet protecting my hand hoping that button would raise even if I thought button would bet if I checked right? You absolutely have to bet here. And why wouldn't we want to?We likely have the best hand now.And everyone will call us with any partial piece.Mucho value. There is no reason to expect Button the bet.Bluffing an entire table is a foolish move even for a LAG in position. Turn: (8 BB) J (5 players)SB checks, BB checks, MP checks, Hero bets, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, MP calls.Should I bet here for value? What if Im raised? If I check what should I do for the rest of the hand?No reason yet to think you've been outdrawn. But plenty of reason to think you could be outdrawn if you give a free card.Another bet for value needs to be made.If you get raised, you still call in hopes of filling up in this big pot. River: (12 BB) 2 (4 players)SB checks, BB checks, MP checks, Hero bets? This seems like an easy value bet hu, but should I value bet this against 3 opponents? When it gets checked to you, you need to value bet again. In my opinion, knowing when to value bet these loose opponents is the key to shlhe.--CM

Before anytime I would check it would normally mean that I was very weak. This was especially the case in unraised pots. After I checked I knew this was not the spot to try for a c/r since it would just keep everyone in a pot where my hand is vulnerable and it is unlikely that bttuon would try to bluff 5 other players in a fairly coordinated board. TheCinciKid 0
I think you played it fine. Pre-flop is good. I probably go ahead and bet that flop, you don't really want it checked through. I'm bet/calling both the turn and the river here.

Before anytime I would check it would normally mean that I was very weak.I understand your thinking of not wanting a certain action to always be a tell of what you have. You are trying to check more often so that opponents won't know if it means strength or weakness. But I look at short handed limit in a different sense.I don't focus much on my checks.I mostly care about my bets. With my aggressive nature, I mix up my bets enough to make sure opponents don't know what my they mean.if I can get them to think my bets may be weak, then I can start value betting my real hands like crazy. And I think this is one of the main ways to succeed at this game.I think the significance of opponents misreading a bet is much more important than than if they misread your checks.--CM
