This will be the official Daniel Negreanu's Protege 2 live updates thread.

Hey, FCP. Sorry for the delay. We had a little trouble with the wifi here at the Atlantis. We are now up and running and will do our best to bring you as much of the action on the felt as possible. Chip counts will be every three levels and when someone is eliminated. We will also do our best to bring you big showdowns etc.

11:25AM Start Time
First Hand: Robin stole blinds from the button

Hand #4 - Hadi's Set of 10's beat Richard pair of Jacks, FLOP: 9 10 4 J 7

Daniel: All the players are starting out playing their A game. Preflop raises are standard, they are defending their blinds and no one looks foolish yet. Richard is our short stack so far.

Daniel: Impressive play so far form Mike H. He is smooth calling raises pre-flop and on to playing opponents with position after the flop... Anthony & Richard have yet to win a pot. Anthony has been VERY tight so far. Richard has lost over half his stack.

12:24pm - Last hand of the 2nd level, blinds 600/1200 200 ante - Aki raised UTG to 3000, Jean smooth called, Sol & Hadi from blinds called. FLOP: 10c Ac Jd Aki bet 10,000 on the flop, Jean raised to 25,000, Sol & Hadi folded, Aki Called. 10h came on the turn pairing the board and both players checked. The river was a blank, Aki bet 20,000 and Jean reluctantly called. Aki turned over KQ for the flopped straight and Jean showed his AK.

12:25pm - Aki is the current chip leader.

12:42pm - We just had our first all in bet. Everyone folded to Richard on the button and he limped in for 1600, Mike G in the SB folded and Robin in the BB raised 4200 more. Richard moved all in for his last 25,400 and Robin folded.

12:42pm - Richard is the short stack at the table and Hadi is the chipleader with Mike H in 2nd.

JEAN HOULE IS OUR 10TH PLACE FINISHER
12:55pm - Everyone folded to Mike G who raised it to 6000. Jean made it 20,000 from the SB, Andre after studying the situation moved ALL-IN and had Jean covered. Mike quickly folded and Jean after debating with himself he made the call for his last 31,000 in chips. Jean had pocket 10s and Andre flipped over pocket Queens. No help for Jean and he is our 10th place finisher.

12:58pm - Approx. Chip Counts

1. Mike G 101,200
2. Robin B 108,000

Daniel-
Biggest surprise so far. Anthony developed a super tight image early. Since then he has picked up the pace and is using his image. He is winning pots without having to show hands.

Robin Bergren-Frustrated as Richard seems to out flop him.

Sol - Playing total small ball.

Mike. H - Flawless play so far.

RICHARD ELIMINATED IN 7TH PLACE

Daniel:
Sol is back in a big way. Both the Bergren brothers have faded rough starts and are in this. Play is a little slow now thanks to a GREAT structure. Anthony still has the lead and this could take awhile.
