Do we repot looking to get all-in against a naked nut straight but getting in bad against a straight with a good redraw or do we just peel, picking up bluff outs if the board pairs, looking to get all-in if we make a better straight, and ending up pretty much lost if hearts hit? Note: The way the table's been playing, I'd be shocked if button doesn't at least have 43, but I have no idea if he has a redraw and how he'd play with or without one from here.

OK, that's what I figured too since I'd probably have a hard time getting paid off against the straight if I hit my hearts. Anyway, I got in about as good as I could as villian pushed all-in over my repot with the straight and a 7-high flush draw to my 9-high flush draw. I looked it up on Cardplayer and I was a 2:1 favorite when the money went in.None of my 19 (I think that's right) outs hit and villian won the pot. The board did end up pairing which I absolutely would have tried to steal on if I still had chips left.Not worried about results here though. I was just thinking that with villian basically turning two of his cards face up with the raise, and with him having the option to call and wait for a safe turn if he has no flush draw, this hand might do better with a call. Glad to see I'm with the consensus here though.

If this was an option, it would have been an easier decision. In this case though, villian had $200 behind after I repotted. I still think a repot was the right decision, but if villian calls and waits for a safe turn, it does put me in an awkward spot.

Position is the ***** isnt it.I think this is a hand where there can be more than 1 right play depending on the player's style,table image etc.One can re-pot flop and gamble a bit(with the right odds like this one).One can call flop and bluff if the board pairs like you said or check/fold if missed.I don't think any of the above is the wrong play.It depends on your style.If you ask me i am definitely re-potting this flop.
