Last weekend i played a NL HE ring game with 4 of my friends and heres what happened...I have about 45$ in chips, another guy (we'll call him Joe) has about 55$, another guy (we'll call him Bob) has 35$ and he's in the BB, and the other guy has like 20$.Im in the small blind with 66 (blinds at .25/.50). The Joe is UTG and raises 2$ above the blinds. the dealer folds. I call, and Bob calls too.Flop is A :) 7 :) 6 :club:I raise 5$, which was a pretty big sized bet in our game. Bob and Joe both call.Turn is J :club: I raise 5$ again. Both players call.River is J :club:I move all-in. Both players call.I have a full house, 6's over J's. Bob had pocket 7's, which gave him a higher full house than me, and Joe had A :D K :D which gave him the nut flush. So I lost 30$ and ended up busting out a few hands later. How would you have played this hand?

All-in on the turn. Can't let that flush draw in, granted you would have lost all your money to the other set, but sometimes you have hands that you cant get away from and set to overset on a safe board is on of them.

5 handed, calling the 2 dollars preflop is okay, as long as you are prepared to ditch it if you don't improveYou have bottom set on the flop, but certainly you have to bet it.You made about a 2/3 size pot bet which looks goodUnfortunately, you made a weak turn bet. You bet 5 dollars into a 20+ dollar pot, that smells very weak. I'd have pushed in on the turn, and said good hand when the pocket 7's were shown.Regardless we both lost x.xI don't know how you avoid going broke on this hand imo
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

go broke with this hand everytime. btw don't post your results as a lot of peoples answers could be hindsight biased.
Only after you have lost everything, are you free to do anything.

I would have check raised on the flop. I know this is a classic sign of strength and you'll scare your opponents off but you don't want anyone drawing to the club flush. If Bob reraises all in on the flop I probably call and go broke, if he calls my raise I know he has something very strong. In that case I would probably bet the turn and if he raises all in I MIGHT lay it down, probably not but maybe if he's a super tight player. If he raises me on the turn the only hand I can put him on is 77 but I would probably still call because I would have to see it. :D ~Slick~

with 2 clubs on the flop and me(u) hitting the set i am pushing all in so they have to pay to see the club...they have lets say 9 outs but you have outs as well so i make them make the choice...or you can check raise it i like to do it if there is an ace or king on the board with no consecutives or 2cards suited and then check raise em..bottom line is you were beat no matter what..it happens..

your turn bet is small in relation to the pot. Pop that sucker up to 15
