I felt he was pretty week so I thought a reraise would scare him away, which is why I only bet on the river. Did I play this somewhat correctly considering my read of my opponent?

You want to build a big pot with a monster like this, you played this horrible imo. I'd re-raise preflop, on the flop and on the turn...
If I bet on both flop and turn, I almost knew he would fold because of his previous plays. I knew he was trying to push me out with a small hand. My reason for slowplaying. If I bet on everystreet he would not stay in the pot.

Oops, your read changes the situation a lot. I didn't know that you knew he was so weak. I forgot to read the end of the post. My bad... You played according to your read and if your read on your opponent was right than you played this fine. Sorry bout that!

$3.50 bet on the river is meaningless, imo, you are looking to get payed off here. $3.50 is not significant and you may have left a good pay off behind. Check-raise the river, or push.It looks as though villain may have been chasing a draw, and probably caught it by the river. All the more reason to play the river with a push or check raise, push is my preferred. And, don't post results next time please.
