I'm not convinced you were beat. I think the small re-raise from him often means that he thinks you were trying to raise him off a c-bet, so he wanted to continue to show strength...and really, flat-calling his re-raise doesn't do anything but delay your push on the turn (only a K falling worries you). I really feel like if he flopped a set or had KK/AA he either pushes instead of re-raises, OR he flat-calls your raise and pushes/calls on the turn, depending on whether he decided to lead it or not.In any case, this really isn't a bad situation to go broke with TP/TK. Nh.

Its hard to say, he didnt raise very much preflop, and like donkslayer said, AA/KK would have probably pushed.a set might have just smooth called to trapAK, probably its my guess he has AQ or AKanother thought would be, he bet pot on the flop as a lead out c-bet, he could very well have JJ, and thinks your raise was too much to have anything and that he could push u off

It's not a bad board for your hand.He could be pushing a draw, a weaker Q, or many other hands.I think you're ahead enough to make calling here profitable.

I'd usually re-raise preflop with action getting folded around to the CO who comes in for a raise and we're on the button with AQ. As far as the rest of the hand goes I think it's fine, by the time he re-raises you on the flop you're pretty shortstacked.
