Columbus does not have a decent offense right now. They are the lowest scoring team in the entire league, The Islanders are scoring, on average, upwards of half a goal more against their opponents per game than Columbus.
The only reason I would remotely consider not taking Nashville is because Columbus' power play has been the team's only bright spot, whereas Nashville's Penalty Killing has been poor lately... even that's not enough to change my mind though.
Also, Nashville has allowed 11 fewer goals this season than Toronto, and that includes the horrific start they got off to when Nabokov was injured.

Go with Nashville. They're my starters tonight as well.

Nabokov?
Toronto has given up 11 more goals, in 3 more games. their GA/game is almost equal. Islanders do have way more goals than Columbus, so far. you've gotta figure columbus will average more than 2.17 GF/g.
home/away has to be a consideration, but its still close.
in terms of EV, it barely matters. On second thought though, with Kubina back, I'd go with Nashville.

Agreed. Budaj 1 goal allowed in his last 2 games.

Second pick, Colorado. With Turco in the other net, could turn into a goaltender duel. Budaj has played well as of late....

Betting with your heart instead of your head, serge.... Raycroft with no game action for an extended period and a potentially bad groin.....

Dude, Serge would put the Leafs in the net at Buffalo even if Nashville was at home to the Kings, lol. He's die hard, give the kid a break

I still think if you look at the numbers Leafs are the pick at home agaisnt the Islanders..Cant go with Colorado in Dallas and Nashville in Columbus is dangerous..
We will see if this costs me

we're leafs fans - going with our heads is obviously an option we long ago gave up on.

As it turns out my decision was not bad..Nashville gave up one but Toronto gave up 2...
I still think Toronto was the right pick...

Even if Toronto shut out Boston, and Boston scored 3 goals on its own net, and Nashville let in 16, it would have still been the right decision at the time to start Nashville.
