I pulled this hand because it is a normal hand that I would play. It is among the many hands that costs a couple of $ to see. How would you play it.Paradise Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is CO with [Qh], [Jh]. 3 folds, SB completes, BB checks.I was thinking I should have raised here. May have helped later on.Flop: (4 SB) [7s], [8d], [6c] (4 players)SB checks, BB bets, MP1 calls, Hero calls, SB folds.very coordinated rainbow flop, two over cards, call one bet, would a raise have won?Turn: (3.50 BB) [8s] (3 players)BB bets, MP1 calls, Hero folds.Pr the 8's this is getting expensive, no help and only two overs.River: (5.50 BB) [5s] (2 players)BB bets, BB folds.Final Pot: 8.50 BB

Agree with EddieIf I hit a J or Q on the turn, I think I'm losing a lot of money here
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

so you would drop it unless it flops a flush or str8 draw or 2 pr?Would you bet it if it hit either the QJ on the flop and then fold to a raise?

I should add that I didn't have a read on either of the people in this pot. The two players that I had as pretty good were not in the hand.

fold the flop.as for the hypothetical situations involving a queen or jack on the flop, nothing is so cut and dry. if it's a ragged flop, someone bets, you raise, they three-bet, you slow down because you're probably looking at a better queen or a set. but if the flop is QJ3 and you're getting action, you keep giving action because you're probably against AQ or such.here, the flop call was bad because you could be drawing dead to a straight. if you had a flush draw to go along, even a backdoor flush draw, the call is okay, but here, you had no draw except 6 outs to overcards that might not even win the hand. so when you take partial outs into consideration (those 6 outs will only win maybe 1/2 of the time), you're really drawing to only about 3 outs.pot odds say that was a bad call.aseem

The pot is small. You have two over cards and a weak backdoor straight draw. Fold on the flop.PS. Riase preflop to buy the button.
