What an amazing photo that is. just at the perfect moment. It looks like Rambis is slipping on a banana peel. In defense of the Chief, there's never been a player that deserved that more than Laimbeer. I think what Tirico was saying, and what I agree with, is that it isn't the act in a vaccum, so much as when the act occurred. They would be cheap shots at any point in any game, but for them to come one after another when you're team is getting blown out, in a sweep.. it's deplorable. Not to mention Bynum is about 2.5 times JJ's size.

Ya, but that's in the middle of a series. Anything goes then, but for Bynum the game and series were over. If he did it at the end of Game 2 or something, no problem.

the only thing i see is that if you do it in the middle of the series, you know you're going to get suspended during the series. if you do it when you know its over, and the suspension is next year, i guess that makes it worse somehow. actually i still dont get it.

There's no reason to hurt somebody when everything is decided. If you're doing it to send a message, or to put the fire in your teammates eyes for the rest of a series, everyone's fair game.
