Ummmmm, you do realize that he is NOT a newsman but rather voices opinions. GIGANTIC difference.
And please dont defend Kerry. His opinions and bias have been well known since Vietnam.

"I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown," Kerry wrote. "We must not repeat the travesty of the inequities present during Vietnam. I also fear having a professional army that views the perpetuation of war crimes as simply 'doing its job.' John Kerry.
Maybe you are too young or dont follow politics close enough but the leaders of Kerrys party look down their noses at the military. They feel that the ONLY way someone would server is if the HAD too. Either because they were too poor or a minority or both. They have never heard of patriotism.
And if Kerry fell off the face of the Earth tomorrow no one should shed a tear ( from a political point of view). People in the military know exactly WHO and WHAT he is.

He was a sportscaster before he became a big mouth *******. He should keep his mouth shut. Kerry has always hated the troops just check his comments since 1971. He also threw his medals away that he lied to get. Kerry's a traitor to America and anyone who defends him is morally corrupt and deserves to be IGNORED.

Maybe you are too young to remember that Kerry himself volunteered and fought admirably in the Vietnam War. But yeah, maybe he HAD to. I wonder how it is that he is somehow considered less of a patriot than the president, who went AWOL for STATESIDE NATIONAL GUARD DUTY during the same war or the vice president, who had "OTHER PRIORITIES". Pretty clear WHO and WHAT they are: chickenhawks.
Senator Kerry actually realizes how terrible combat is and understands that the lives of our troops are so valuable that they should be deployed only when absolutely necessary.

Mike, I think we need to organize a McCain/Kerry bill. All will be right with the world.

Nah, I don't really like either of them that much. They're both sickeningly mediocre as politicians. They're shockingly and stunningly OK. They're frighteningly decent. You get the point.

I don't want a politician as President. I want a man's man. I could see me sitting down and having a beer with McCain and that pink-o Kerry.

Agreed. Although, you could try to make the argument that G-dubs is a man's man. You know, despite the whole male cheerleader thing.
I actually met Kerry during the 2004 campaign, and he does a nice job of projecting a normal guy exterior. I think he's a good man. I'd buy him a beer.

Wow..did you just watch a swift boat ad or something?? Kerry volunteered for Vietnam and came back a somewhat decorated veteran. He, along with thousands of other vets, realized the atrocities being commited in Vietnam and spoke out. He believed it was a mistake and spoke out...anyone who thinks that is anything but patriotic is a completely brainwashed imbecile. And just to remind you, the administration at the time LIED and FABRICATED the attack in the Gulf of Tonkin so that the US could start "retaliating"...then for ten years the US fought fruitlessly and lost 50,000 soldiers...and you have the nerve to call KERRY a traitor?! You should read Kerry's speech from 1971 and try to learn something from it because it was not only relevant back then, but it is very relevant now.
"...Each day to facilitate the process by which the United States washes her hands of Vietnam someone has to give up his life so that the United States doesn't have to admit something that the entire world already knows, so that we can't say that we have made a mistake. Someone has to die so that President Nixon won't be, and these are his words, "the first President to lose a war."
We are asking Americans to think about that because how do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam? How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?....We are here in Washington to say that the problem of this war is not just a question of war and diplomacy. It is part and parcel of everything that we are trying as human beings to communicate to people in this country - the question of racism which is rampant in the military, and so many other questions such as the use of weapons; the hypocrisy in our taking umbrage at the Geneva Conventions and using that as justification for a continuation of this war when we are more guilty than any other body of violations of those Geneva Conventions; in the use of free fire zones, harassment interdiction fire, search and destroy missions, the bombings, the torture of prisoners, all accepted policy by many units in South Vietnam. That is what we are trying to say. It is part and parcel of everything..."

For those that voted for Bush, if you had to do it over knowing what you know know, would you? Vote for Bush?

Ten times on Sunday and 467 times on Tuesday. Then I would make sure I kept black people and Gays from getting to the polls.

The funniest thing about the extreme republicans on this site is when they try to make a joke it's usually a position that some significant minority of republicans actually hold.
Many republicans would vote for Bush or another anointed republican literally no matter what. Facts have nothing to do with their decision.
Republicans have tried to make it harder for blacks and minorities to vote for decades now.
And I hardly have to mention the fanatical obsession with homosexuals, and the seeming opposition of many Republican voters to their very existence.

Actually I am not to young. Hell anyone over the age of three knows about it since he reminds everyone constantly. Trust me I dont need Kerry to remind ME of anything. His record, if you actually took the time to dig into the facts, it tells a lot about him. Just a tip for you. You will notice that REAL heroes rarely use it (their medals /heroism )as a talking point for their campaign to the extent that Kerry does. All of the medals in the world dont mean squat if your act as if you are a traitor to your fellow servicemen.
Oh and the medals dont excuse him from ridicule either. If you are a peice of garbage and get a medal and continue to act like a peice of garbage guess what???????????
Of course I am guessing you dont know anything about combat or how medals are awarded or anything in general about the military or Kerry's motives. You are just a Bush hater. There is a reason that the vast majority of the military think so little of Kerry. We are well aware of who and what he is.

And you would do differently if it was a Liberal or Democrat were in charge? The stone you cast flies both ways. Personally I think the liberals make it harder for minorities by enabling them and perpetuating the victim mentallity. Thats where you get the "opinion" that "Republicans have tried to make it harder for blacks and minorities to vote for decades now" Absolute BS. Have you noticed that Liberals are trying to make it easier for illegals to vote? What kind of outrage do you have about that? Or did you conveniently miss that fact? I can back up my what I said with facts can you do the same with your comment?
For me personally I could care less about the party but if anyone can look at the DEM leadership right now and not be terrified for the future of our country then they are blind or uninformed. Does that mean I am happy with everything the the Republicans do? NOPE, not even close.

As humans, we form opinions based on emotion, then look for any scrap of evidence to support those opinions.
If you hate Kerry, then you can take his comments that were clearly taken out of context and use them to hate him more. Look, anyone that saw this in context had to know Kerry was talking about Bush, not the troops.
Shame on the Republicans for playing dumb. Shame on the Republicans for manufacturing a fake scandale to try to distract from all the REAL scandals and incompetancies.
Shame on anyone that defends the Republicans for manufactuiring a smoke screen.
BTW: I'm not a Republican or Democrat. I think both parties suck equally.
