Full Contact Poker’s transition from the Ongame Network to its new poker software provider is presently scheduled to occur on or about November 14th. So what does this mean for our US and Non-US players? The playing experience for Non-US players on FCP will not change until November 14th, at that point, any funds currently in your poker account will be automatically transferred to your FCP cashier account. To play poker on our new software, you will need to do the following:· Download FCP’s new poker client· Transfer money from your FCP cashier account to your poker account US players will be blocked by the Ongame Network on November 6th and regrettably must wait about a week to begin playing on FCP’s new poker network. You will still be able to play in the FCP casino and login to the FCP cashier and poker software, but you will not be able to view the real money poker tables. On or about November 7th, any funds in your poker account will be automatically transferred to your cashier account. Then after the November 14th transition, to play poker on our new software, you will need to do the following:· Download FCP’s new poker client· Transfer money from your FCP cashier account to your poker account We tried very hard to minimize the transitional downtime for poker to 24 hours for all players, but in the end, this was not possible. We are very sorry for this inconvenience, and we are not satisfied with simply asking our US players to be patient while we work overtime to integrate FCP’s new poker network. We are thankful you have chosen Full Contact Poker this past year, and we want to make it worth your while during this short transitional period to keep your bankroll at FCP.We are offering two special incentives for loyal FCP players to keep money in their FCP cashier account during this transitional period.1. For every dollar left in your FCP cashier account during the poker network transition (amount determined on the day the technical transition begins), we will give you 20% of this cashier amount in bonus dollars up to $200. These bonus dollars can be cleared with the new network’s bonus clearing system.a. To take advantage of this offer, simply send an e-mail to: Bonus@fullcontactpoker.com and provide us with your full name and FCP account login Username. We will start processing these special bonus requests the day the new poker network is launched, and due to expected heavy volume, please allow up to 72 hours for bonus to be added to your account.2. Win a trip to Vegas to play in Negreanu’s home game. FCP is coordinating an exclusive online tournament with the 1st place winner earning an all expense paid trip to Las Vegas to play in Daniel Negreanu’s star studded home poker game with FCP staking you $5,000. All top 10 finishers in this online tournament will earn $100 plus a 500-piece chip set. To qualify for this special online tournament, you will have to earn a certain number of FCP Points within the first 2 weeks after the new poker software is available for play. Complete details will be available next week and posted on the website.Tell us more about Full Contact Poker’s new poker network?A full release of information about the new poker network will be available soon, but in the meantime, we can share the following. Several poker sites that have left their previous poker networks as a result of the recent US legislation have now joined forces to establish a critical mass of players at a new poker network using proven and updated software. Along with FCP, there are several other pre-existing poker rooms and a few large sports book/poker operators that will make up a large percentage of the network player base in the beginning. (FCP players should be licking their chops at this opportunity to “pwn” some sports betters at the tables:) Some key positives of changing to this new poker network.· This poker network shares FCP’s commitment to serve players anywhere in the world· FCP is able to keep its same high-performing customer service team· This network will encourage FCP Community suggestions and commit the necessary resources to implement the best ideas into the poker software · We anticipate soft games overall with the heavy influence of sports & casino betters· There are new features like easy to find table stats in the lobby, kill pot tables and automated high-hand promosIf you are making a withdrawal request from FCP during the next few weeks…Please understand that as a result of switching poker networks, FCP will be experiencing some abnormal delays in receiving the money it uses to pay players making withdrawal requests. Therefore, you may have to wait a little longer than normal to receive your withdrawal during this short transition period. On a positive note, once FCP has converted over to the new network, it expects to be able to process player withdrawals faster than normal. And, as always, all players will have control of their money all throughout this process. What happens to my bonus money and un-cleared bonus after switching to the new network?FCP is working on a solution that pays its players the amount of bonus they cleared up to the day the network transition is initiated, and then transfers any un-cleared bonus into their accounts to be cleared while playing on the new network. Please understand that part of this procedure requires a manual process and may require a few extra days to successfully transfer all updated bonus amounts. Considering that many poker sites are telling their players to clear their bonus or lose it altogether, we feel good about doing whatever it takes to be fair, even if it takes a little more time.Thank you for making FCP the premier online poker community.
Bob

Umm... [raises hand slowly] not one mention of being Mac friendly!?! So is it safe to say the new site will not be supporting Mac users, i.e. Java or otherwise? :club:

I'm slightly disappointed. Hopefully the announcement of what sites will also come with a listing of game-types available? It's hard enough to play Stud 8 or O8 on FCP now, I can't imagine it with even less people.

nope, not bodog...info said players from around the world will be able to play there.Bodog doesn't allow Canadians and, of any site, it seems FCP is the last one that would want to exclude Canadians.

Thanks Bob for your hard work as well as everyone at FCP. Also, do you have any info you can share about the tournament schedule at our new home? Will similar guaranteed MTT's be available there as we currently have?

Yeah, this is a dealbreaker for me. Any insight would be helpful. If I can, I'll totally stay w/ FCP, but I got a Mac...

I don't want to be an FCP refugee just because I'm a Mac user, but it sure sounds like this is a Windows-only deal.

I want to give a specific update for the Mac users. Both FCP and the new network care about serving Mac users but the software will be Windows only at launch. If the software can be recompiled easily into a Mac version it won't take that long for one to be made available. If it can't be and a Java version or Mac downloadable needs to be developed from scratch it will be looked at but will take a longer period of time to be available.
