XXEddie 0
I wanna get this thing running in mid-Jan. Here is a rough draft of eventsEvent #1; $10+1 No Limit HoldemEvent #2; $10+1 Pot Limit OmahaEvent #3; $5+R No Limit Holdem with RebuysEvent #4: $20+2 Pot Limit HoldemEvent #5; $10+1 HORSEEvent #6; $10+1 7-card StudEvent #7; $20+2 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or betterEvent #8; $10+1 Limit HoldemEvent #9: $20+2 HORSEEvent #10; $20+2 No Limit Holdem Match PlayEvent #11: $10+1 Limit HoldemEvent #12; $10+1 Limit OmahaEvent #13; $20+2 No Limit HoldemEvent #14; $10+1 7-card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or betterEvent #15; $20+2 No Limit Holdem 6-handedEvent #16; $10+1 Pot Limit OmahaEvent #17; $10+1 7-card StudEvent #18; $10+1 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or betterEvent #19; $50+5 Full Contact Poker No Limit Holdem ChampionshipEvent #20; $50+5 Full Contact Poker Championship; HORSEEvent #21; $30+3 Full Contact Poker Tournament of Champions, No Limit Holdem.thoughts?I was thinking Winner of event 1-18 will have $88 of their prize removed. $55 will go towards their choice of Championship Event, $33 will go toward the TOC Event. If a player wins a second tournament, Another $55 will be deducted and will go toward their buy-in for the other Championship event. If a player wins 3 tournaments, they will receive the full prizeI dont know if their is a way to subtract $88 from the winner's prize and put it into the other events so we might just have to agree if you win one of the lower events you must buyin to at least one of the Championship events and the TOC event. Zach6668 513
Any consideration to some bigger buyin events? Not that I can afford them.
aucu 3
Sounds like fun, maybe the new FCP skin will be able to host it.2P2 had something like this a couple of years ago on Games Grid, got them to set up extra good structures too. Don't know if they are still open.
XXEddie 0
Im sorta thinking of doing it on stars since I believe more FCPers have accounts on stars than FCPEvent #1; $10+1 No Limit HoldemEvent #2; $10+1 Pot Limit OmahaEvent #3; $3+R No Limit Holdem with RebuysEvent #4: $20+2 Pot Limit HoldemEvent #5; $10+1 HORSEEvent #6; $10+1 7-card StudEvent #7; $20+2 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or betterEvent #8; $10+1 Limit HoldemEvent #9: $20+2 HORSEEvent #10; $20+2 No Limit Holdem Match PlayEvent #11: $10+1 Limit HoldemEvent #12; $10+1 Limit OmahaEvent #13; $20+2 No Limit HoldemEvent #14; $10+1 7-card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or betterEvent #15; $20+2 No Limit Holdem 6-handedEvent #16; $10+1 Pot Limit OmahaEvent #17; $10+1 7-card StudEvent #18; $10+1 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or betterEvent #19; $20+2 No Limit Holdem ShootoutEvent #20; $3+R No Limit Holdem With RebuysEvent #21; $30+3 Pot Limit OmahaEvent #22; $20+2 7-card StudEvent #23; $30+3 No Limit Holdem Match PlayEvent #24; $20+2 7-card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or betterEvent #25; $30+3 Limit Holdem ShootoutEvent #26; $20+2 Limit RazzEvent #27; $20+2 Pot Limit HoldemEvent #28; $50+5 Full Contact Poker No Limit Holdem ChampionshipEvent #29; $50+5 Full Contact Poker Championship; HORSEEvent #30; $50+5 Full Contact Poker Tournament of Champions, No Limit Holdem. Here is a revised event list. If someone can make a point system for a Player of the Year type thing that would be great. If possible I would like to have this annually.Im thinking we start Feburary 1st
Stealth Beagle 0
Cool idea.
XXEddie 0
So scottyno told me that Stars wont let you create private; Rebuy, HORSE, or 6-handed tourneysIf thats the case I will just remove all of the rebuy, HORSE and 6-handed ones
HangukMiguk 8
Zach brought up a good point, try e-mailing support, and see if they might be able to swing something for you. you never know.
XXEddie 0
Zach brought up a good point, try e-mailing support, and see if they might be able to swing something for you. you never know.I already e-mailed the list. Ill try when they send it backIt will start February 1st, one event a day. Every event will start at 9:00 PM EST
bdc30 0
No point in doing it on Stars, in my opinion. Wait and see what network we end up being a part of in 3 days, and take it from there. I'm sure they'd be more receptive to bendingstructures and setting something up FOR fcp'ers, especially given thatI'm sure it'll bring quite a few new signups to whatever site we end up on.They might even throw some cash in the prize pools... Zach6668 513
I don't really want to put money on FCP, but meh. Stars is 100x better than any site, IMO. We'll see when the time comes though.
ChrisRichey 1
Stars is 100x better than any site, IMO.QFMFTDo it on Stars. Great idea, I am in.
BudBundy 0
I am in for stars as well.I don't wanna put money in FCP.
No_Neck 0
that should be fun, I am in, can we have an exemption for February 14th, I won't be able to play on that day....
XXEddie 0
that should be fun, I am in, can we have an exemption for February 14th, I won't be able to play on that day....I was actually considering that.I'll have them skip Valentine's Day, good point
trystero 0
A great idea but you may be organizing too many events. I don't know how much cooperation you'll get from Stars, so this criticism may be irrelevant, but I'm not sure you should tackle 30 events on your first try.
aucu 3
Shortly after Stars started spreading Horse I asked them about spreading it for private tourneys, they said that it was still new and that they would get to it. They may update the software by Feb if not they might be able to set you up manualy.Still out of respect we should float this by FCP first but as it stands I prefer Stars. rog 0
So we're going to have a series of FCP championship events on another site? Stars should cooperate fully. It's great publicity for them to have the players from another poker site come to them to host their championship series. Pretty bad publicity for FCP though. I play on Stars and would love to play some of these events, but I wont play them unless they are on FCP for these reasons. If I were an FCP admin type person, I would be strongly discouraging this kind of thing. A weekly strat tourney is all well and good. A series of 20 or so events is another matter. magnus72 0
Do you realize how retarded that sounds to have the World Championship of Full Contact Poker on Pokerstars?? Shouldnt it be called the World Championship of Pokerstars then?
XXEddie 0
I know that kinda sounds bad to have it on Stars but more people on the forum have money on stars than FCP. And A lot of those players, myself included, dont wanna deposit on FCP just for this
rog 0
I know that kinda sounds bad to have it on Stars but more people on the forum have money on stars than FCP. And A lot of those players, myself included, dont wanna deposit on FCP just for thisJust for this? Are you serious? You want to have 30 events with buyins totalling over 500 dollars, and that's not enough to motivate you to deposit?I like the format. I'd probably play about half the events if they were on FCP and if my non-poker schedule allows. Have it on FCP after the move. Approach DN and/or "the business team" about it. They may do a money-add as a loyalty incentive for sticking with them in the move off of Ongame. DN might even play an event or two...who knows. But for crying out loud, dont have an FCP championship on stars. If this aint worth depositing for, it's not worth having at all.
aucu 3
When the WSOP is on the Bike Club in LA has the "Mini Series of Poker""Mini Series of Online Poker" or "Mini Chapionships of Online Poker" would be a better name for this as there is a championship in place now and this is well "mini" Buyins should be about 1/10th the WCOOP's that would be a range of $20 to $200.$10 is just too small to make it worth it or mean anything.Official site backing a la Neg-O would be the best way to go.PM DNA (really) on this, he is kind of the FCP tourney guy, maybe DN could play some of them or at least the main event as a promotion of the new site, that would get at least the regular posters here and proly a lot more to sign up.I play all the sites, it is no big deal for me to deposit anywhere and wherever FCP land I will try it out.You might try asking a couple of poll questions to help see what people want. That's all. RickyG033 0
I'll play every event if it is on Stars...
Balloon guy 158
I think this should be on Stars as wellMainly because the schedule will conflict with the already running World Championship of Doyle's Room that is playing on FCP mid January.February we are having the World Championship of Full Tilt, so that's a bad month.I guess Stars it is.
TheCinciKid 0
I will probably play at least a few events no matter where it's held. It probably should be at FCP, but I have more money on Stars so I don't really care.
