I just didn't get it, I could see how it could be funny in some ways but it didn't do it for me. Good acting thoughout but characters just got lost into the background. 2.5/5But not a wes anderson fan.

I thought it was hilarious. My gf wanted to leave though. Different strokes I guess.Made me laugh a lot though.... It's a bit of an off humor I guess.

I'd give it a 3/5It was funny, but I'm in no hurry to see it again
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

I think the movie is easier to enjoy if you view it as a series of (related) vignettes as opposed to a cohesive movie. the performances of the actors, particularly willem dafoe, the visual imagery, and the meandering pace of the movie were what i enjoyed - much more so than the actual plot.don't worry if you feel that you "didn't get" the movie - i really don't think there was any deep or hidden message to get. i think wes anderson just wanted to get some of his favorite actors together to do a quirky movie and have some fun. said another way, don't bother looking for the subtext, it was all right there on the surface.
