Strategy Vs Supp Agg Villian

On ftp I have been playin regularly against a guy who has one of the most aggressive styles i have ever seen. His pfr is probably at around 85-90% position not mattering to him. It is always a pot size bet. He will also call raises with any cards. He almost always cbets (90%) the flop. Basically it is a manical play yet he amasses huge stacks. How do you counter this strategy? Manly i have just been callin his raises preflop and lookin to hit him on the turn with big hands...

Look to limp/reraise him with your good hands. If you have position with a good hand, reraise him to isolate. You want to be heads up against him.Look to play hands with a lot of straight potential (4567, etc.).Be prepared to reraise flops with just top pair at times, and play draws very aggressively.Most importantly, don't change your game exclusively to play against this one guy. If you start playing too many hands, you will suffer against the other players at the table.It's hard to be precise because omaha is very situation specific.

Just use the general strategy against a maniac and it's simple, you need a made hand and let the maniac pot away his chips. More specifically, you will be the call station. Since he's hot, you need to tighten up your hand selections, play hands in position, no need to take 55:45 gamble, and go easy on the flop and put your hammer on the turn. Don't do preflop raises and no need to fight fire with fire, if you've a made hand, it's hard for the maniacs to get away.Always reload to the max buy-in, and be aware of the others, don't fall in to the victims of the other players just because you want to trap a maniac.Just be patient and take your times, money don't come easily.

what do yall think about the strategy the villian uses? Can this be profitable over the long run? Kinda seems a similar strategy to what mahatma uses in nlhe.

I highly doubt it. DN claimed he crushed the $400 plo tables by raising almost every hand preflop, but how many DNs are out there? Aggression is good, but overly aggressive is a good way to lose money. Even the player can play fine post flop, he's walking on the line of fire. Poker is poker, action-seeker (and hence super-aggressive player) is generally a long-term loser, no matter in what form of poker. It's the good solid play that brings home the money.
