pl omaha question-preflop

Ok, I'm just starting out on PL omahaFigure it makes a FAR better 2nd game then any stud varietyAnywho, my question is, what kinds of hands should I raise preflop with.I was at a table at Full Tilt and I kid you not 80+% on the flop, but very few were raised.Suggestions?

Raise with well coordinated hands like :clubsq: :heartsj: :hearts10: :clubs9: and also hands that consist of double-suited aces and kings. Do not raise with aces that aren't very coordinated. That is a mistake you will commonly see with beginners. Uncoordinated aces are better unraised, because you won't hit the hand often, but if you do hit a set, other people will have trouble putting you on aces because you didn't raise pre-flop.

Suited connectors go down in value because it's quite common that someone will have a higher flush draw. You probably already know that, but just some more advice I guess. Oh yeah, and very rarely should you bluff. Especially in low limit omaha, you're going to get called.

You should see very close to, if not less flops in Omaha High than you should in Hold'em.

Raise with the most coordinated hands as said by a previous poster. But raise in late position. Early, you should limp and encourage calls with lesser hands. Position is very important in PLO.

I'm sure you know this already, but post-flop, jam the pot with the nuts (and depending on your number of outs, a draw to the nuts), be VERY careful with anything else. Especially at low/micro-limit, which seems to be filled with Hold 'Em players who don't understand that trying to play it the same way as Hold 'Em is equivilent to making a charitable donation to the rest of the table, just this strategy should get you pretty far. I like to try and see flops cheap with even my big hands in PLO, because the flop will oftentimes miss you completely, or worse, you'll get a marginal piece of it and have no idea where you stand.
