Hey guys I'm looking to make a deal in one of my fantasy leagues as another manager really wants Brodeur. He hasn't played very well early on this season but he's a stud every year and should improve his play I'd imagine.
I think I can get Malkin and Thornton for Brodeur is this a good deal? If not what should I be looking for in exchange for Brodeur. Currently I have Gigueire of Anahiem and Ward of Carolina as well in net.
also note that if I give up Brodeur I'll probably pick up Fleury from Pittsburgh, Raycroft from Toronto or Emery from Ottawa (although Emery is a backup to Gerber).
Good Trade?

With two solid backups, that's an instant trade.
Steve Nash, Raja Bell, Boris Diaw, Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire;
Marcus Banks, Leandro Barbosa, James Jones, Jalen Rose, Kurt Thomas.
Find 10 who can beat it.

Yeah, what they said.
That goes for Brodeur in his prime during the Cup years, say nothing of how he's been playing so far this season. If there's another starter available that's a no brainer.

With that being said what do you guys think about Fleury? If Pittsburgh plays like they are right now he should get some solid wins even if his GAA and SV% are a little less optimal. Alternatively Lundquist, Raycroft and Ray Emery are all available as well.

What the hell... is this a 4 man league?
If you do pull off the Brodeur for Thornton/Malkin trade, don't be surprised if it's vetoed.
When I go to a fast food restaurant, and my order comes to $6.28, I like to give the cashier $18.71. They look at me and say 'What's this?' and I say 'I'm all in'. They usually fold.

lol @ 4 man league, it certainly feels that way. At very least, a 12 man where half the GM's are clueless...
1. Lundqvist
2. Fleury
3. Emery
4. Raycroft

Lol its 6 teams deep and some are fairly clueless. 2 haven't changed their roster for any day yet so they're not getting maximum apperances. Is that your ranking for the 4 goalies? Lundquist will get lots of wins I like to think with all the offence firepower on the Rangers, also shouldn't have to fight for playing time ditto fro Fleury I think hes started every game.

IMO, Fleury will get more starts, but Lundqvist will get more wins and have better stats.
