Theres a big world between folding and pushing. Just call and see what he does on the turn. If he bets small again his range includes two overs, and Id continue to call. If he bets big you can get out with a playable stack.

wait at least 24 hours for results/.

and it's best to edit your post after you go all in andnot show anything after that...no cards, no calls, no folds....

I think your play is a guess
Given the stacks and blinds if you fold here, I dont' mind the push at all.

Do we have any read on BB?
A lot of players would be re-raising you preflop with hands that beat us here.
Or folding any two pair hands. So, I think it's missed overs, with maybe a flush draw here. He's preety much committing himself though with the bet. But I see plenty of players try to take it down leading there and then finding they are getting too good of odds to fold.

I like the push. I think it's close.

wow you like to have tough decisions.
We call, pot is 1575 and we have 1580 left.

BB bets 500 on turn?
BB checks turn?
A? K? Q? J? T? 7? any diamond...
BB bets 800 on turn
turn is 2c.

calling is yukky.

Ok I edited my initial post smile.gif

I figured him for a weak ace just trying to steal the pot. I didnt have too many reads on him, I did catch him a few times stealing pre-flop and thought he was trying it again.

Added the results to the main post. So pushing was the best option here? I didnt see him calling my raise with Q9, it's not like I was raising from the button either, so I guess for some reason he thought I was stealing, either that or he thought his Q9 was good

I like the push.
Unless you feel superior to table or you have good read on BB.

I will push sometimes and not others.

How could he think his Q9 was good?!? I think he was simply calling to protect his BB and hoping to get lucky.

I think you're play was fine and you are overthinking things a bit because of the bad result. =)

The funny thing is I do this all the time myself!
